Offense

QB Dominick Orsini, Sr., Ohio Wesleyan

Orsini ran for 252 yards on 25 carries, scoring on touchdown runs of 37, 7, and 4 yards and threw for 242 yards in a win Saturday vs. DePauw. Orsini, pictured at right, put the Bishops on the scoreboard with a 37-yard TD run, then tossed a 15-yard scoring pass for a 14-0 lead. 

OL Bariah Staten, Matt Hoover, Travis Myrick, Eric McDonel, Dammian Booker, Adrian

The Adrian line kept freshman quarterback Hunter Hamm upright in his first career start, not allowing a sack in a 31-13 win vs. Kalamazoo. Hamm became the first Bulldog signal-caller in four years to throw for more than 300 yards and the Bulldogs had almost 500 yards of total offense.

RB Brian Mann
Fr., Ferrum

Mann broke Ferrum's single-game rushing yards record with a 254-yard effort in 44-20 USA South road win over LaGrange. He averaged 7.7 yards per carry in the victory.

RB Nick Savant
Jr., Muhlenberg

Savant rushed for a school-record 277 yards on 24 carries in the Mules' 56-17 win against Juniata, averaging 11.5 yards per carry. He also tied a school record with four touchdowns, covering 8, 30, 9 and 61 yards.

WR Nate Hodapp
Jr., Hendrix

Hodapp recorded a school-record 16 catches in the Warriors' 52-28 win over Chicago. Hodapp tallied 156 yards with a touchdown - the first of the game. 

WR Sam Markham
Sr., Central

Markham had his fifth game of the season with over 10 catches and his second 200-plus yard effort. He had 108 yards and two touchdowns by the end of the first quarter of the 51-37 win vs. Central.

TE Carl Appleton
Sr., Lewis & Clark

Appleton returned for his first game since Sept. 17 and had career-highs in catches (eight), receiving yards (117) and touchdowns (two) in a game. His first TD gave the Pioneers a 7-3 lead and his second started a rally from a 33-14 deficit.

Defense

DE Cameron Brown
So., Case Western Reserve

Brown had 10 tackles, seven solo, while also registering a sack and two total tackles for a loss, forcing a pair of fumbles and recovering one, breaking up a pass and notching a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry in a 16-14 win vs. Geneva. He tallied three tackles, including a sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in the fourth quarter alone.

DT Kyle Perlowski
Jr., Southwestern

Perlowski posted eight tackles, including two for loss, and he forced a fumble in the opening quarter that led to a touchdown as Southwestern defeated Texas Lutheran, 42-38.

DE Derek Pacheco
Jr., WPI

Pacheco logged 10 tackles, including two and a half for loss, a sack and a safety in the fourth quarter, as WPI reclaimed the Transit Trophy with a 19-7 victory at RPI.

 

LB Cory Ward
Sr., Hardin-Simmons

Ward had a huge game to limit to the Cru 40.8 points and over 200 yards under its average. He tied his career-best with 16 tackles and also added one and a half sacks in a 20-15 loss to UMHB.

LB Skyler Williamson
Jr., St. Lawrence

Williamson had a career-high 20 tackles, seven solo and was named MVP of the Hoffman Cup game for a second year in a row in an 8-0 win vs. Merchant Marine. He had one and a half tackles for loss.

LB Ellis Throckmorton
Sr., Husson

Throckmorton led the Eagle defense with ten total tackles, eight solo, a forced fumble, career-high three sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss and a pair of quarterback hurries as Husson limited Anna Maria to a school-record 37 yards of total offense (minus-12 rushing) in a 42-0 victory on Saturday.

LB Tawayne Malone
So., Lewis and Clark

Malone had an interception in Puget Sound territory that he returned to the 10 and set up the Pios' second consecutive touchdown drive to take a 14-3 lead in the second quarter. He finished with 16 tackles, all solo in a 39-28 loss to UPS.

 

CB Patrick Yale
So., Colby

Yale had a fumble recovery for a touchdown, had an interception and a return of 40 yards, broke up four passes, and had four tackles in a 27-7 win over Hamilton. On one drive, Yale had two pass breakups and ended the drive with an interception at Colby's 11. With Colby leading 20-7 and Hamilton at the Mules' 16, Yale had a pass breakup in the end zone in single coverage on a third-and-3 play.

S Aaron Robinson
So., Southwestern

Robinson posted nine tackles, including three and a half for loss, and two sacks in a 42-38 win over Texas Lutheran. Robinson, who also broke up a pass, totaled 14 yards on his tackles behind the line of scrimmage.

S Jack Ingalls
Sr., Rhodes

Ingalls finished with 14 tackles including two sacks, five tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery as the Lynx rolled Birmingham-Southern by the score of 50-16. Ingalls' forced and recovered fumble came with the Panthers inside the 20, looking to make it a one-score game.

CB Derek Trotter
Jr., Dubuque

Trotter led the Spartans with 13 tackles, nine solo, and ended the game with an interception in the end zone in the third overtime to preserve Dubuque's 45-37 win vs. Buena Vista.

Special teams

K Brayden Neuendorf, Jr.
Dubuque

Neuendorf made three field goals in three attempts, and every one of them was a pressure-packed kick. He connected from 35 yards out with eight seconds left to force overtime, then hit from 38 and 27 in the first two OTs before Dubuque topped Buena Vista in the third OT.

P Nathan Hawkins, Jr.
Simpson

Hawkins averaged a school-record 52.7 yards on six punts, pinning Loras inside its own 15 four times, including one at the 8 and one that was fumbled and recovered by Simpson. He had three punts of 50-plus yards, including a 66-yarder that is the fifth-longest in school history. Saturday marked the first punts of Hawkins' career.

RET Alex Pasiewicz, Sr.
Lake Forest

In addition to his third kickoff return for a touchdown this season, covering 100 yards, Pasiewicz ran two fake punts for a combined 40 yards, converting both for first downs in a 34-27 win vs. Lawrence.

ST Jordan Williams, Jr.
Trinity (Texas)

Williams returned two blocked punts for touchdowns in the third quarter, helping the Tigers score 14 unanswered points in a 38-17 victory at Austin College. He blocked the first punt of the quarter for Austin, then took it back 10 yards for a score. Late in the quarter, he returned another blocked punt 10 yards for another score.
