Offense

QB Brad Dawson, Jr., Waynesburg
For the second straight week, Dawson led Waynesburg to a shootout victory. This past Saturday his six total touchdowns led the Jackets to a 49-21 win over Hanover. His performance also moved Dawson into ninth place on the school's all-time career passing yardage list with 2,386 yards, despite playing in just his 11th game with the team over his first two years. He now has eight touchdowns to just one interception on the season.

OL Allen Wise, Alex Mannari, Tony Martinez, Chris Donovan, Austin Light, Austin College
The Austin offensive line cleared the way for the 'Roos to pile up 409 yards with an average of 5.9 yards per carry and three touchdowns in a win against McMurry. For the year, the 'Roo offensive line is helping the team rush for 325 yards per game and has given up just one sack.

RB Reid Oldenburg, Sr., UW-La Crosse
Oldenburg set career-highs with 33 rushing attempts and 206 yards in UW-L’s 49-24 win over Azusa Pacific on Sept. 12. He also scored two touchdowns, a 1-yard run in the first quarter and 4-yard run in the third. Oldenburg averaged 6.2 yards per carry against the Cougars. He has rushed 57 times for 345 yards (6.1 average) and four touchdowns in the first two games of the season.

RB Nathan Sherr, So., Massachusetts Maritime
Sherr, a transfer from UConn, rushed for school-record 325 yards on 26 carries and scored touchdowns on runs of 1, 3 and 95 yards as the Buccaneers snapped a 12-game losing streak with 49-27 victory against MIT. Sherr's rushing total was part of a school-record 545 rushing yards for Massachusetts Maritime on the day.

WR Pat McCarthy, Jr., RPI
In a 28-0 season opening victory over Endicott, McCarthy caught a career-high 12 passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Pat had seven receptions for 71 yards and a 4-yard touchdown in the first half and five catches for 124 yards, including a 55-yarder and a 7-yard touchdown, in the second half..

WR Justin Horning, So., Widener
Horning had two big catches on the final drive, including the go-ahead score with 1:41 left in Widener’s 22-17 victory at Curry. He had a 46-yard reception that went down to the 2-yard line and caught a 4-yard pass for the decider. Horning ended with 10 catches for 207 yards. He is the first wide receiver for the Pride to have at least 200 yards receiving since future NFL draftee Michael Coleman did it against Juniata on Nov. 3, 2001.

WR Alex Koors, Jr., DePauw
Koors had 12 catches for 209 yards and three touchdowns in a win against Anderson. It was a career-high in receptions and tied for sixth best DePauw single-game performance. The 209 yards rank fifth in school history and the three touchdown receptions equaled a school record. In the first quarter alone, Koors caught 10 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns. Four of his receptions went for 20 or more yards. 

Defense

DL Mo Salih, Sr., Shenandoah
Salih led all players with nine tackles, seven solo, in the Hornets' 21-13 loss to Bridgewater (Va.). He finished with three tackles for loss and two sacks, both of which came on the same drive, one which ended in a blocked punt.

DL Matt Cassilly, Sr., Washington and Lee
Cassilly helped lead Washington and Lee to a 31-13 win over Sewanee on Saturday by totaling four tackles, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one sack. Cassilly return his first interception 7 yards, returned his fumble recovery 15 yards to set up the second score of the game and then scored from 37 yards out on his second interception.

DE David Dale, Sr., Millsaps
Dale set a Millsaps single-game record with 4.5 sacks against Belhaven as part of six total team sacks in the game, adding eight tackles, two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble in the 27-10 win.

LB Mike Asiedu, So., Wesley
Asiedu made 10 tackles, including eight solos, in a 28-3 win over Division II North Greenville. He had two tackles for loss in the game and also forced and recovered a fumble that led to the go-ahead touchdown.

LB Josh Bain, Jr., Hamline
Bain had one sack for a loss of 13 yards and six tackles (four solo) in a 34-0 win against Martin Luther. He helped key a defense that allowed Knights' quarterbacks to complete only two of 22 passes, for a total of 17 yards. The defense allowed only 106 rushing yards on 45 attempts.

LB J.D. East, So., Wheaton (Ill.)
East helped lead Wheaton to a 29-26 victory at Bethel in the season opener for the Thunder, recording eight total tackles, seven solo stops. Three were tackles for lost yardage (of minus-12 yards), including a sack. East also picked off a pass and recovered a fumble.

LB Evin O'Sullivan, Sr., Emory and Henry
O'Sullivan had back-to-back returns for touchdowns to open up the second half of play vs. Greensboro. With 14:29 left in the third quarter, O'Sullivan picked off a Greensboro pass and returned it 30 yards for the score and then, just 1:28 later, he scooped up a fumble on the Greensboro 2-yard line and also returned it for a score. This took a 6-0 game to a 21-0 Emory and Henry lead. On the day, O'Sullivan led all players with 12 total tackles including six solo stops.

CB Quincy Hudson, Sr., UW-Platteville
Hudson had two interceptions and made five solo stops during UW-Platteville's 28-20 victory at Dubuque on Saturday. His first pick came in the end zone, helping preserve a 7-0 Pioneer lead. He also sealed the game with his second interception, making the theft at the Platteville 45 and returning it 38 yards with 21 seconds remaining. It marked the third multi-interception game of Hudson's career.

S Evan Reville, Sr., Trinity (Texas)
Reville picked up a fourth-quarter fumble and returned it 31 yards to set up Trinity's offense for an improbable comeback. Reville's long return put the Tiger offense just 18 yards from the end zone, and the ensuing TD cut it to a 21-19 deficit. All of this made it possible for Trinity's game-winning field goal as time expired.

S Danny Polaneczky, So., Chicago
Polaneczky collected 12 tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception in Chicago's season-opening 37-36 double overtime victory over Kenyon. He preserved the win on the game's final play by breaking up the Lords' two-point conversion attempt.

CB Elante Moore, Fr., WPI
Moore collected three interceptions to help WPI blank city rival Worcester State 25-0. His first interception of the game set up WPI’s third scoring drive and allowed the Engineers to take control with a 16-0 lead. Later in the first half, Moore’s second pick stopped the Lancers inside WPI territory, preserving the shutout. He would add a third interception in the second half and also had two solo tackles and a pass breakup in the contest. Moore now has three of WPI’s five interceptions in two games this season.

Special teams

K Elliot Rausa, Jr., Coe
Rausa moved into second place on Coe's career field goals made list with 23, as he hit two field goals in Coe's 27-24 win over Gustavus. His kicks were from 39 and 43 yards.

P Chad Smith, So., Bethany
Smith averaged 40.6 yards over five boots in Bethany's win at Kentucky Christian. His longest kick covered 48 yards and he placed one inside the KCU 20.

RET Bryson Tucker, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Bryson averaged 55 yards per kickoff return and 23 yards per punt return in the Cru's win against SNU. He also added four tackles after making the move back to defense for the season opener.
