Making them miss

More news about: Hendrix

Seth Peters has been the starting quarterback for Hendrix ever since he set foot on campus in the rebooted program's first season. And now, as a senior, you're seeing what he and the Warriors are capable of. In this case, it's a 54-yard run for the end zone in a 35-28 win vs. Centre and it's the D3football.com Play of the Week.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Week 5 Play of the Week finalists

Here are some great plays which deserved extra mention:

You can't argue with the impact of this play at this point in the season, as Jack Pfohl's 57-yard catch and run from Hobart quarterback Shane Sweeney gave the Statesmen a 38-35 lead in the final minute, staving off the upset attempt from Merchant Marine.

Fan vote winner: Reese Childress makes a great one-handed snag as part of a 10-catch, 162-yard day in a 53-29 win over Sul Ross State. Video courtesy of Evan Nemec KTXS Sports in Abilene.

St. Thomas defensive back Michael Alada picked off his fifth pass of the year, returning this one for a touchdown in a 55-7 win vs. Augsburg. The play registered 37 yards on the ground, but suffice it to say, Alada got a good workout on his way to the end zone.

Marietta's quarterback knows how to scramble for the end zone as well, as sophomore Darrien Fields picked up a key block from Ryan Van Meter and made his way 17 yards to the end zone for the game winner as Marietta defeated Baldwin Wallace 62-56.
