Undefeated no more

Gettysburg was undefeated and riding high until Muhlenberg came to town. Mules sophomore linebacker Kyle Wilczynski helped set the tone on the fourth play from scrimmage, making a one-handed interception and returning it 31 yards for a touchdown on the fourth play from scrimmage in a 41-13 win. It's the D3football.com Play of the Week.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Here are some great plays which deserved extra mention:

Trailing 31-23 with just over three minutes left, Hiram safety Ronnie Jones picked off a tipped pass and refused to go down, returning it for a touchdown to cut Ohio Wesleyan's lead to 31-29.  Hiram went on to win on a last second field goal.

Pierre Noel has had some great catches for Norwich already this year. Here's another one, a 29-yard catch to set up a touchdown as Norwich went on to beat SUNY-Maritime 30-22.

After King's scores to take the lead with less than a minute left, Lycoming is driving with a chance to win the game. After a long pass, Anthony Martuccio strips the ball from the wide receiver and King's recovers the fumble to seal the 30-26 win.

Freshman Robbie Hillier II returned Elmhurst's attempt at a 34-yard field goal in the third quarter 76 yards for a score after teammate David Simmons Jr. came up with the block. The play keyed a second half surge in a 24-14 win.
