Say hello to the high hurdle

More news about: Hobart

Bradley Burns pulled a play out of former Hobart running back Steven Webb's playbook, and apparently that playbook involves hurdling a defender. That's what Burns did on the way to the end zone against Endicott and it's the D3football.com Play of the Week.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Week 2 Play of the Week finalists

Here are some great plays which deserved extra mention:

Union's Ryan Hanney catches a ball that caroms off of a Western Connecticut defender, leading to an unexpected 41-yard TD. Andrew Santillo and Frank Rossi on the call for Sporty 1240AM (WPTR Schenectady, NY).

After Chapman's punter committed the flop heard 'round college football, Linfield made him pay, taking two punts back for touchdowns, including this punt block Jason Farlow took back for six.

Stuart Walters of Johns Hopkins completes a 25-yard reception for a touchdown against Susquehanna. Watch for the stiff-arm on the replay.

You guys can debate whether Augsburg's Joey Sonnenfeld got his foot down but that's the way it was called on the field and we don't have video evidence to overturn!

You can see more nominated plays on our Week 1 highlights playlist below, and even more top plays on the D3sports.com YouTube channel.
