Offense
QB Johnny Peltz, So., Wheaton
Peltz racked up 408 yards of total offense for
the Thunder. He threw for four touchdowns and ran for the other
four as Wheaton defeated Elmhurst 56-20. He completed his first 13
passes en route to an 18-for-22 day for 289 yards.
OL Djoser Ramsey, John Stephens,
Spencer Weckwerth, Austin Pauly, Vincent Stierman III,
Macalester
Macalester rushed for a season-high 302 yards vs. Carroll, the
Midwest Conference's leading rushing defense heading into
Saturday's game, and scored 34 points against the league's best
scoring defense. The line led two players to 100-yard rushing days
(Zandy Stowell with 172, Samson Bialostok with 122).
RB Spencer Corrao, Sr.,
Hanover
Corrao had 25 carries for 253 yards and two catches for 52
more in a 49-34 win vs. Earlham. He had a total of three touchdowns
in the victory.
RB Devin Sylve, Fr., Louisiana
College
Sylve set school record with five rushing touchdowns and six
touchdowns overall in a 55-28 win over Howard Payne. He ran the
ball 21 times for 172 yards and five touchdowns and added five
catches for 74 yards and a score.
WR Adam Smith, Jr.,
Guilford
Smith had six catches for 204 yards and three touchdowns in
Guilford's comeback win over Catholic. He had second-quarter scores
from 16 and 29 yards out, which tied the game at 14-14 by halftime,
then hauled in a 78-yard score in the third quarter.
WR Mike Collichio, So., St. John
Fisher
Collichio tallied a career-high 174 receiving
yards on eight receptions and two touchdown passes in a 35-25 win
over Buffalo State. He now has nine touchdowns on the season.
TE Kyle Crawford, Sr.,
Austin
Crawford added to his SCAC-best receiving numbers in a win against
Southwestern, finishing with 120 receiving yards and a touchdown,
and averaging 30.0 yards per catch including a 50-yard reception
and a 44-yard score.
Defense
DE Jeff Milner, Sr.,
Millsaps
Milner headlined a defense that limited the Vikings to just 94
yards passing and 169 yards of offense. The senior had a team-high
11 tackles, all of them solo, including three for loss totaling 17
yards. He recorded a sack and two quarterback hurries.
DT Michael de Percin, Sr.,
Hamilton
de Percin had 11 tackles, seven of them solo in a 37-9 loss to
Hamilton. He had six tackles for loss, one of which resulted in a
safety.
DE Rob Barbieri, So.,
Ithaca
Barbieri had two sacks and a forced fumble to go with seven total
tackles in Ithaca's win over Brockport. The Ithaca defense held
Brockport more than 200 yards below its season average.
LB Colton Evans, Jr., Morrisville
State
Evans posted seven total tackles, six solo stops, while
registering two and a half sacks for a loss of 18 yards and a total
three and a half tackles for a loss of 23 total yards. He also
forced a fumble in the 38-14 win vs. William Paterson.
LB Jack Nelson, Sr.,
Willamette
Nelson led Willamette with 12 total tackles, all unassisted, as
the Bearcats defeated Linfield, 31-28. He added a tackle for loss.
The Willamette defense held Linfield to 317 total yards, well below
the Wildcats' average entering the game of 494.2 yards.
LB Grayson Pylant, Sr., Louisiana
College
Pylant totaled 12 tackles, one and a half tackles for loss, and
two interceptions that he returned for 46 yards in a 55-28 win vs.
Howard Payne.
CB C.J. Conway, Sr., Montclair
State
Conway registered seven solo tackles and had a pass breakup
however he did plenty of damage to the Red Dragons passing game
with four interceptions, including one return for a touchdown. MSU
trailed 3-0 in the first quarter when Conway picked off a pass in
the end zone to end a Cortland drive. He added two more, including
a one-handed grab in the third quarter and punctuated his day with
a 23-yard return for a touchdown as MSU battled back from 20-10
down to win 30-20.
S Evan Lapice, Jr., St.
Lawrence
Lapice made two interceptions including an 80-yard pick-six to
lead St. Lawrence past WPI 20-7 on Saturday, keeping the Saints
tied atop the Liberty League standings at 5-0. He added four
tackles including a sack for a 9-yard loss.
S Eric Allen, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Allen posted eight tackles and grabbed a pair of interceptions in
the Cru's win over Hardin-Simmons. He set a school single-game
record with 120 yards of interception returns. Both of his picks
led to UMHB scores and one came near the Cru goal line and resulted
in an 87-yard return.
S Jackson Putnam, Fr.,
Berry
Putnam forced three turnovers in the game. He recorded two
interceptions for 41 return yards, had five tackles, a forced
fumble and one pass breakup.
CB William Heiligethaler, Jr.,
Greensboro
Heilegethaler had three takeaways in Greensboro's 19-17 win vs.
Ferrum. He had two interceptions and a fumble recovery, to go with
five tackles, four solo.
Special teams
K Daniel Sobolewski, Jr.,
Albright
Sobolewski was called on to attempt field goals
seven times on Saturday, making five of them in Albright's 36-35
overtime win vs. Wilkes. He made kicks of 30, 41, 34, 48 and
21 yards, while the two misses were from beyond 40. Including three
PATs, Sobolewski scored 18 of Albright's 36
points.
P Ben Dudley, So.,
Millsaps
Dudley changed field position all night on Friday night in a
rainy, windy win at Berry. The sophomore punted eight times,
pinning the Vikings inside the 20 on four occasions. Dudley also
was brilliant in limiting the Viking return game, holding Berry to
just one punt return for 5 yards.
RET Isaiah Slutter, Sr.,
Juniata
Slutter took back three kicks for a total of 146 yards
Saturday against McDaniel. He ran the opening kickoff 98 yards for
a touchdown. It ties for the second-longest return in Centennial
Conference history.
