Here are some great plays which deserved extra mention:
Cortland's Travis Alvarez blocks Kinsey Williams' field goal attempt for Morrisville State, and D'monte Woody fights through traffic to return it 83 yards for a touchdown. Cortland went on to win 34-20. |
Ryan Cary takes the handoff from Johns Hopkins quarterback David Tammaro, then flips it back to him behind his back, without looking. Tammaro finds Zac Fernandez downfield for the 48-yard touchdown. It got the scoring started in a 52-0 win vs. Gettysburg. |
Matthew Byers blocked Austin College's Cesar Ruiz's field goal attempt and Wes Guilford recovered it already on the run, taking it 75 yards to the end zone to give Birmingham-Southern a 14-7 lead. Birmingham-Southern went on to win 31-24. |
Jake O'Connell takes an interception back 65 yards for a touchdown for Brockport in a 45-0 win vs. Hartwick. Watch Julius Brunson, who deflects the ball to O'Connell at the beginning of the play, then throws enough of a block at the end to allow O'Connell to get into the end zone for the touchdown. |
