The defending national champion Red Dragons, at the end of the regular season, were ranked second by both D3football.com and the AFCA and are fourth in the Division III NCAA Power Index. Springfield was ranked 23rd by D3football.com and 20th by the AFCA, and the Pride were 10th in the final NPI rankings.
