November 16, 2024 #2 Cortland Wins Cortaca Jug vs. Ithaca, 28-17, to Complete 10-0 Regular Season CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Cortland football team won the Cortaca Jug for the second straight year and completed the third 10-0 regular season in school history as the host Red Dragons defeated Ithaca College, 28-17, in the 65th edition of the rivalry game in front of 9,562 fans at Grady Field.

November 9, 2024 Baloga's Late Field Goal Lifts #2 Cortland Past Brockport, 29-28, for Fourth Straight Empire 8 Title BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Mike Baloga (New Windsor/Cornwall) made a 38-yard field goal with 27 seconds left to give Cortland its lone lead of the day and the nationally second-ranked Red Dragons clinched their fourth straight Empire 8 football title with a 29-28 victory at Brockport.
November 7, 2024 Cortland Football Game Notes vs. Brockport (Nov. 9 at Brockport) The Empire 8 title is on the line as nationally second-ranked Cortland travels to Brockport. Both teams are undefeated in league play and the winner will clinch the league title and an NCAA tournament automatic berth. Cortland has won the previous three Empire 8 titles from 2021-23 and Brockport earned the league's NCAA berth the previous three seasons from 2017-19 (Cortland was co-champ with Brockport in 2019 but lost the head-to-head tiebreaker).
November 2, 2024 #2 Cortland Wins 68-10 vs. Hartwick on Senior Day CORTLAND, N.Y. - Senior quarterbacks Zac Boyes (Buffalo/Kenmore West) and Vin Mazzone (Staten Island/St. Peter's) combined to throw a school single-game record six touchdown passes as nationally second-ranked Cortland remained unbeaten with a 68-10 Empire 8 win over visiting Hartwick on Senior Day. The Red Dragons honored 35 seniors prior to the game.
October 31, 2024 Cortland Football Game Notes vs. Hartwick (Nov. 2 at Cortland) Cortland, ranked second nationally in Division III, looks to extend its 19-game winning streak as it hosts Hartwick in an Empire 8 contest. The Red Dragons are off to a 7-0 start this fall. Hartwick is coming off a home victory versus Hilbert last weekend for its second win of the season.
