MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- For the second time this week, Baldwin Wallace University senior defensive back Alden Steele (Lorain/Amherst) has earned a weekly honor as he earns a national honor being named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the second time in his career.
Steele, who was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on November 4 for the second time in his career, anchored a BW defense that allowed just 259 total yards of offense, including 58 on the ground in the Yellow Jackets 54-17 victory over Muskingum University last Saturday in Berea. He tallied a career-high 11 tackles and forced a career-best three fumbles, including one on the BW one-yard to line to prevent a Muskingum touchdown.
On the season, Steele leads the team and is 14th in the OAC with a career-high 44 tackles. He has tallied three pass break ups and three forced fumbles.
For his career, Steele has appeared in 27 games and has recorded 119 tackles. He has recorded 14 pass breakups, forced five fumbles and has one interception. He was the OAC Defensive Player of the Week after earning his was the OAC Defensive Player of the Week and a D3football.com Team of the Week Selection in the 2022 season.
BW is back in action on Saturday, November 9 when it closes out the home portion of its schedule with an OAC and Seniors' Day game against Ohio Northern University at 1:30 p.m.
