Mike Hatcher Joins Ithaca Football Staff as Offensive Assistant Coach
March 31, 2020ITHACA, N.Y. – Mike Hatcher, the former offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Misericordia University, has returned to Ithaca College to serve as an offensive assistant coach. The hiring was announced by head coach Dan Swanstrom on March 31, 2020. -
Johns Hopkins' Davidson, Gaal Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships
March 27, 2020Former Johns Hopkins football standouts Anthony Davidson and Ben Gaal have been awarded prestigious $10,000 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships it was recently announced. Davidson and Gaal were two of just 21 male athletes who competed in fall sports who were selected. -
Artificial turf, lighting coming to Butterfield
March 03, 2020To help improve and expand the uses of Butterfield Stadium on campus beyond intercollegiate athletics, Ithaca College announced that it will be replacing the natural-grass field with artificial turf and installing lighting. -
Carnegie Mellon University Hires Ben Gibboney as Defensive Coordinator
February 20, 2020Ben Gibboney has been named the defensive coordinator for the Carnegie Mellon University football program, and will begin his role next month. Gibboney, who has been part of the Tartans’ staff as the defensive backs coach since 2015, replaces longtime Tartan defensive coordinator Terry Bodnar, who announced his retirement in November after 36 years with the program. Bodnar spent 34 years as defensive coordinator. -
Finn to attend NFL Career Forum
February 19, 2020Hobart College Assistant Football Coach Cait Finn is one of 40 women selected to attend the 2020 NFL Women's Careers in Football Forum next week in Indianapolis. She recently completed her first season as a defensive assistant coach for the Statesmen. -
Opgenorth named Oberlin football coach
February 07, 2020Oberlin associate vice president for athletics advancement athletic director Natalie Winkelfoos announced the appointment of Steve Opgenorth as head football coach. Opgenorth comes to Oberlin after spending five seasons at nearby Baldwin Wallace, most recently serving as associate head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks' coach in 2019. -

December 21, 2019ITHACA, N.Y. – Prior to the start of the Stagg Bowl last night in Shenandoah, Texas, D3football.com announced its four All-America Teams and two members of the Ithaca College program were recognized. Senior John Hadac was a Third Team member on defense, while fellow senior Will Gladney found a spot on the Honorable Mention Team. Ithaca has now amassed 150 total All-Americans in program history. -
Lamker '97 named Augsburg football head coach
