Brown Named An American Legion Squadron 50 Football Player Of The Year Award Recipient
May 16, 2013Last Thursday evening at the SUNY Maritime Senior Award Ceremony, Privateer football senior Martin Brown (Huntington Station, N.Y./Huntington) was recognized as one of the recipients of the Lt. Evans - Lt. Col. Howard College Football Player of the Year Award by the Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 50, based out of Pelham, N.Y. On hand at the ceremony to present the award to Brown was Ken Kraetzer, Commander of Sons of the American Legion in Pelham, N.Y. as well as Frank Barbieri, former Post 50 Commander. -

May 16, 2013DALLAS – Gallaudet University football seniors Kevin Berrigan (Frederick, Md.) and Denton Mallas (South Milwaukee, Wis.) were named to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 grade point average (GPA) or better throughout their college career. -

Gallaudet's Adham Talaat works out for NFL scouts on campus
March 18, 2013For the second year in a row National Football League (NFL) scouts were on campus to evaluate a Gallaudet University football player as rising senior defensive end Adham Talaat (Springfield, Va.) worked out Monday for scouts from the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins. Talaat a 6-foot-6, 285-pound defensive lineman ran the 40-yard dash, was measured and interviewed by the visiting scouts. -
