QB Sam Sasso, Sr., SimpsonThe alliterative signal-caller threw four touchdown passes for the third consecutive game as Simpson won 38-33 at defending IIAC champion Coe. Sasso was 27-for-37 passing for 340 yards and the interception he threw required such an amazing job by the defense that it was named the D3football.com Play of the Week. On Simpson's two fourth-quarter touchdown drives, he converted on third-and-9, third-and-8, third-and-15 and third-and-6. |
