Offense
QB Evan Jones, So., Carthage
Jones was 23-for-35 passing for 428 yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions as Carthage rolled past Hope 70-46.
OL Josh Delancy, Kyle Antos, Mike Larson, Wes Welnack, Zach Baldacci, Jr., North Central (Ill.)
The Cardinals line helped North Central dominate in time of possession, 37:05 to 22:55, allowing them to run 22 more plays than Ohio Northern and outgain the Polar Bears by nearly 100 yards. They allowed no quarterback sacks in 38 opportunities.
RB Levell Coppage, Fr., UW-Whitewater
Coppage carried 42 times for 220 yards and a touchdown in the Warhawks' 16-14 win at UW-Eau Claire. It's the most carries in Division III so far this season.
RB J.T. Harold, Sr., Mass-Dartmouth
Harold carried 28 times for 222 yards in Mass-Dartmouth's come-from-behind 32-27 victory at Bridgewater State. He scored each of the Corsairs' final two touchdowns. His first score, a 62-yard run, gave the Corsairs their first lead of the game, 26-20 with 1:58 remaining in the third quarter. His second score, a 15-yard run with 7:02 to play, put Mass-Dartmouth ahead for good.
WR Chris Gardner, Sr., Carleton
Gardner caught eight passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns, including TD catches of 70 and 69 yards, as the Knights won 38-14 at Cornell.
WR Royce Winford, Sr., Augsburg
Winford caught eight passes for 87 yards, while also recording three tackles, an interception and a pass breakup on defense in Augsburg's 30-24 double-overtime win against No. 20 Wartburg. He caught two key touchdowns in the fourth quarter and overtime. On a 4th-down-and-goal play from the 2-yard line, Winford caught a TD pass with 4:02 left in the fourth quarter, then intercepted a pass on defense on Wartburg's ensuing drive. In the first overtime, Winford caught a 15-yard scoring pass.
TE Brian Weverbergh, Sr., Ithaca
Weverbergh's two touchdown catches erased an early 7-0 deficit in the Bombers' 38-28 win against King's. He had nine catches for 123 yards on the game.
Defense
DL John Gyure, Jr., Bethany
Gyure set career highs with 10 tackles (five solo) and three and a half tackles for loss as the Bison beat Kentucky Christian 34-19. Two of the tackles for loss were sacks, and one forced a fumble that Bethany recovered inside the opponent's territory.
DL Doug Bocchino, Sr., Moravian
Bocchino helped anchor the Greyhounds defense that allowed just 113 total yards and 30 passing yards in a 42-3 win at McDaniel. He registered six tackles in the game (two solo) including two and a half for loss and had one and a half of Moravian’s five sacks in the contest.
DL Michael McNelis, Sr., DePauw
McNelis had two and a half of DePauw's six sacks in the Tigers' 52-17 win against Anderson. He finished with five tackles, three solo.
DL Matthew Bookard, Sr., Salisbury
Bookard had five tackles (three and a half for loss), one forced fumble, and one pass breakup in a 48-6 win against Geneva. He also tallied 2.5 sacks for 17 yards. On the ground, Geneva averaged just 1.2 yards per carry..
LB Kyle Gesswein, So., Delaware Valley
Gesswein led the Aggie defense in the upset win over No. 3 Wesley. Along with 13 tackles (eight solo), he forced and recovered a fumble in the third quarter that led to a field goal as part of Delaware Valley's comeback.
LB Nick Clark, Fr., Alfred
Clark had five and a half tackles for loss and three sacks for the Saxons in their 21-14 win against FDU-Florham. He finished with 10 tackles (eight solo) and a pass broken up.
LB Mason Mosby, Sr., Rhodes
Mosby had a pair of takeaways for a Lynx defense that limited Louisiana College to 153 total yards in a 14-3 loss. He had a pass broken up and 14 tackles (three solo).
DB Randy Santina, Jr., Grove City
Santina recorded a career-high 14 tackles from his cornerback position in Grove City's 19-10 win against Carnegie Mellon. His fourth-quarter interception clinched the victory.
DB Richard Carlisle, Jr., Hardin-Simmons
Carlisle led a strong defensive effort by the Cowboy secondary with a career-best 13 tackles (six solo). The defnese has allowed only 245 yards through the air in two games, after giving up an average of 313 yards per game last season.
DB Kendale Rayford, Sr., Louisiana College
Rayford picked off his second and third passes of the season in a 14-3 win over Rhodes. Rayford returned the second interception 78 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. He also broke up three other passes and was part of an LC secondary that allowed only six completions.
DB Joe Gruben, So., Loras
Gruben had an interception, one and a half sacks and seven tackles (four solo) for the Duhawks in a 31-14 win at Millikin. His interception set up the Duhawks' final score of the game three plays later.
Special teams
K Jeff Schebler, Jr., UW-Whitewater
Schebler gave the Warhawks a 6-0 first-half lead against UW-Eau Claire, then kicked what proved to be the game-winner from 47 yards with 7:16 left in a 16-14 victory. His four kickoffs went to the end zone, the 12, the 14 and the 10.
P William Lawrimore, Jr., Millsaps
Lawrimore averaged 48.3 yards per punt on seven kicks, including two that fell inside the 20-yard line. With his feet standing in the middle of the Millsaps end zone midway through the third quarter with a 6-point lead, Lawrimore had a game-changing boot that traveled a school-record 77 yards to Belhaven’s 10-yard line. Millsaps scored two plays later after forcing a fumble to open the game up and eventually win by 20.
RET Pete Ittersagen, Sr., Wheaton
All-American Pete Ittersagen scored Wheaton's lone touchdown in a 10-7 win against fifth-ranked Bethel with a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown.
