Offense
QB Bobby Swallow, So., Washington and Jefferson
The PAC offensive player of the week set a career high with 210 yards and four touchdowns (8, 29, 10, 29) while completing 90% of his pass attempts (18 out of 20).
OL Sergio Jones, Adrian Baker, Pete Bowyer, Jawaan Petty, Nic King, Ferrum
The Panthers' offensive line helped quarterback Jermaine Pitts set a school record for single-game rushing yards with 242 in a 30-27 overtime loss to No. 10 Bridgewater. Ferrum racked up 493 rushing yards against the Eagles — a team that was unscored upon after two games this season — and 520 yards in total offense.
RB Jay Bernardo, Sr., RPI
Bernardo scored once in each quarter to lead the Engineers to a 34-10 win at Utica. He had a 1-yard run in the first quarter, a 1-yard run in the second, a 13-yard scoring run in the third quarter and a 9-yard run in the fourth. Bernardo finished the day with 135 yards on 22 carries.
RB Tyson Roy, Jr., Millsaps
Roy accounted for 266 of the Majors' 466 total yards, carrying the ball 14 times for 117 yards (8.4 avg.) and three touchdowns. He also hauled in eight catches for 147 yards.
WR Brandon Tolbert, Sr., Howard Payne
Tolbert scored all three of the Yellow Jackets' touchdowns in a 24-17 conference win against East Texas Baptist in the "Gordon Wood Classic" on Saturday. He finished with 133 yards on seven receptions, hauling in scoring passes of 19, 34 and 53 yards.
WR Justin Menke, Jr., Illinois College
Menke saved the day in Illinois ' 14-11 win over Lake Forest. Trailing 11-0 in the fourth quarter, he scored on a 13-yard touchdown pass with just over ten minutes left in the contest. Five minutes later he hauled in the game-winning 59-yard touchdown reception.
TE Michael Allan, Sr., Whitworth
Allan had four receptions for 60 yards and one score in a 37-16 defeat of La Verne. His touchdown was a 38-yarder on Whitworth's first drive of the game.
Defense
DL Keith Cavallotti, Sr., Wilkes
Cavallotti frustrated Delaware Valley all afternoon in the Colonels' 14-7 overtime victory. He had six tackles, including four tackles for loss. He also assisted on a sack and forced a fumble.
DL Marcus Hart, Sr., Howard Payne
Hart forced the East Texas Baptist quarterback to fumble on their closing drive to finish the 24-17 Howard Payne victory. He also had a team-high eight tackles (six solo), 3.5 tackles for a loss and one sack.
DL Matt Rugenstein, Jr., Hope
Rugenstein, the MIAA defensive player of the week, was credited with 4.5 quarterback sacks, three others for lost yardage, a total of 10 tackles (six solo) and two pass breakups in 23-14 loss to DePauw.
LB Jeff Jones, Fr., Trinity (Texas)
Jones, filling in for an injured starter, grabbed two interceptions to go with his eight tackles (two solo), returning one for a 44-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Jones and the Tiger defense allowed only three drives of longer than 30 yards.
LB Stephen Schils, Jr., UW-Stout
Schils made the game saving tackle with 33 seconds remaining when he forced a fumble on a two-point conversion attempt by Division II Upper Iowa to allow UW-Stout to escape with a 36-34 win. In the first quarter, he recovered a fumble that Stout turned into the first score of the game. Schils finished with six tackles (four solo) and a tackle for a loss for 9 yards on the Peacocks' final drive of the game.
LB Brad Steinmetz, So., Thomas More
Steinmetz had two blocked kicks which provided the margin of victory in a 21-20 win against Grove City. The PAC defensive player of the week finished with 14 tackles (seven solo), three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
LB Craig Smith, Sr., Bridgewater (Va.)
Smith recorded 14 tackles (six solo) in the Eagles' overtime victory against Ferrum. He was instrumental in Bridgewater 's goal-line stand in overtime. On second-and-1 and on third-and-1, Smith made the tackles to keep the Panthers out of the end zone.
LB John Scardullo, So., Elmhurst
The CCIW defensive player of the week led the Elmhurst defense to a 23-10 win against Chicago. Trailing 10-3 at halftime, Scardullo and the Bluejay defense held Chicago to only 81 yards of total offense in the second half. The Maroons crossed midfield only once in the second half, and Scardullo killed the drive on the next play with an interception. He also had 10 tackles (seven solo), three tackles for a loss and one sack.
DB Corey Cooley, Jr., Mississippi College
Cooley earned ASC defensive player of the week honors by intercepting two fourth-quarter passes to help Mississippi College to a 28-21 upset of No. 21 Texas Lutheran. He also broke up one pass and had four solo stops including one tackle for a loss of 11 yards.
DB Dionte Beatty, So., Shenandoah
Beatty had 10 tackles (six solo), two tackles for a loss, a sack and a USA South Conference record four interceptions. His first pick set up the first Hornet touchdown; his sack came on a fourth-and-4 play and led to the Hornets second touchdown. His last pick came in the end zone with just over two minutes remaining to clinch the win.
DB John Bascon, So., Bridgewater State
Bascon was key in BSC's 28-14 win over Salve Regina as he recorded three interceptions and broke up three other passes, while also limiting 2005 First Team All-NEFC selection Antonio Guzzo to just one reception.
Special teams
K Lucas Raschke, Jr., UW-Oshkosh
Raschke kicked a school-record 51-yard field goal as UW-Oshkosh defeated Lakeland , 31-10. He also made good on all four extra point attempts.
P George Anderson, Sr., Rockford
Anderson booted seven punts a total of 284 yards (40.7 yards per kick), including a Rockford record 68-yard punt.
RET Duane Alston, Sr., Averett
Alston had five kickoff returns for 222 yards in the Cougars' 54-34 win over Guilford. He had one that went for a 90-yard touchdown and another of 92 yards that allowed Averett to start a drive on the Quakers' 4-yard line.
