The streak is over

There was a pretty spectacular play in Wisconsin that ended a pretty long streak, but when you watch how Thiel ended its own streak -- one of 24 consecutive losses -- you'll understand. Thiel's Cody McClelland picked up the ball and found teammate Berend Grube open in the end zone to snap the streak.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football program and this was our top clip.

Week 3 Play of the Week finalists

  • You've probably read about this play but not sure you've seen the hook-and-double-lateral in Buffalo State's game-winning drive. Plus the TD is thrown in for good measure. Watch
  • With the score tied 30-30 with 10.8 seconds left, Linfield kicker Josh Kay hits a 39-yard game winning field goal to lift No. 5 Linfield over No. 10 Cal Lutheran. It was Kay's fourth field goal of the day. Watch
  • With 10 seconds left in the game, Augsburg quarterback Aryton Scott completed a 42-yard pass to Hakeem Bourne-McFarlane, giving the Auggies a 26-24 win at Gustavus Adolphus. Watch
