November 8, 2014 Bresler Breaks School Record, Birir Goes Over 1,000 Yards, But La Verne Wins La Verne, Calif. - Sophomore quarterback Alex Bresler set a Pomona-Pitzer record with 525 yards of total offense (478 passing) and freshman running back Aseal Birir went over 1,000 yards for the season (1,101), but the La Verne Football team was able to hold on for a 41-37 win over the Sagehens on Saturday afternoon.
