    La Verne, Calif. - Sophomore quarterback Alex Bresler set a Pomona-Pitzer record with 525 yards of total offense (478 passing) and freshman running back Aseal Birir went over 1,000 yards for the season (1,101), but the La Verne Football team was able to hold on for a 41-37 win over the Sagehens on Saturday afternoon.
