Claremont, Calif. - Junior safety Eric Montgomery had a big hit on fourth down with five seconds left in regulation at the Pomona-Pitzer seven-yard line to give the Sagehens a dramatic 20-14 win over Lewis & Clark on Saturday afternoon at Merritt Field.
Claremont, Calif. - The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Football team scored three defensive touchdowns (two interceptions and one fumble recovery in the end zone) to build a big lead and take a 41-21 win over Pomona-Pitzer in the regular season finale for both teams on Saturday at Merritt Field.
La Verne, Calif. - Sophomore quarterback Alex Bresler set a Pomona-Pitzer record with 525 yards of total offense (478 passing) and freshman running back Aseal Birir went over 1,000 yards for the season (1,101), but the La Verne Football team was able to hold on for a 41-37 win over the Sagehens on Saturday afternoon.
Claremont, Calif. - The Pomona-Pitzer Football team scored its first two touchdowns on turnovers on special teams and went on to capture a 24-0 win over Whittier on Saturday evening at Merritt Field.
Claremont, Calif. - Pomona-Pitzer scored in the final seconds of the first half to take some momentum into the locker room trailing 19-7, but Redlands was able to respond and pull away for a 47-7 win in the SCIAC opener for both teams on Saturday at Merritt Field.

Cambridge, Mass. – The MIT Football team scored on two long touchdown drives on its first two possessions of the second half to stretch a 14-13 lead to 28-13, and held on for a 28-18 win over Pomona-Pitzer in the season opener for both teams on Saturday at Steinbrenner Field.
Claremont, Calif. - Freshman quarterback Alex Bresler threw for a touchdown, ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown in the first half, and the Pomona-Pitzer Football team held its lead in the second half to capture a 31-23 win over La Verne on Saturday evening.
Duncan Hussey wasn't satisfied with just playing defensive back for Pomona-Pitzer, and it turned out the Sagehens could really use him on offense as well.

Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps don't draw the biggest crowds to their season-ending rivalry game, but it has something no other rivalry does. The players on opposite sides share classes.
Chapman has completed a formal application to join the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The SCIAC Presidents Council is scheduled to convene in April to reach a decision regarding the application.
