November 13, 2018 Earlham suspends football program Having started the season with 52 players and 42 consecutive losses, and ending the season with 54 consecutive losses and even fewer players, the Quakers are suspending their football program with the plans of studying whether it can return in 2020.

His wife, Melissa, former women's basketball coach at Earlham, has been fighting a genetic pancreatic condition.
November 2, 2016 Heart of the Heartland Melissa Johnson has spent more than three years battling pancreatitis and complications from surgeries. In the midst of all this her husband, Nick, took over as head coach at Earlham. And his perseverance has been an inspiration for his family, his players and coaches around the HCAC.
