Less than 24 hours after William Paterson snapped the longest active losing streak in Division III, Crown did the same. Meanwhile, Brockport's defense was all the scoring it would need, Salisbury held on and Lycoming rallied to beat a rival.

Avery Caruthers ran for 162 yards and Ameer Lee added 147 yards on the ground to lift Crown past Beloit, 23-6. The Storm, who hadn't won since Oct. 15, 2016, picked off Beloit four times in the win. They held the ball for 37 minutes, 49 seconds and limited the Buccaneers to 133 yards of total offense. It was the longest active losing streak in Division III, in large part because Earlham, which has lost its last 53 games, suspended football for this season.

Thiel, which lost to Washington & Jefferson 59-0, has lost 19 consecutive games, and now has the longest losing streak in Division III.

Lycoming beat Widener in the dramatic fashion which the rivalry demands, as the Warriors scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Pioneers 43-42. Chase Snavely scored on a touchdown run with 12:49 to go in the game to cut the lead to 13, then hit Christoff Minotta for a 24-yard touchdown two minutes later. But it wasn't until 26 seconds left in the game which Joey Guida capped a 12-play drive with a 1-yard touchdown run, and Jamie Fisher added the extra point, to give Lycoming the win. Snavley finished 7-for-16 for 130 yards off the bench as Lycoming improved to 1-1.

Salisbury scored the first 24 points, but had to hold on as UW-Oshkosh scored 19 points in the fourth quarter before the Sea Gulls closed things down in a 24-19 win. The Salisbury ground game picked up 214 yards and the Sea Gulls also completed seven of their 11 passes. After Hopeton Mair scored on a 2-yard run early in the fourth quarter, Riley Kallas answered on the next play from scrimmage with a 66-yard touchdown run. Kobe Berghammer, who came on in relief, hit Justin Kasuboski for a 49-yard TD pass to make it 24-13. But Salisbury was able to pick off Berghammer in the end zone on the Titans' next drive and Oshkosh (1-1) didn't get the ball back until 2:19 remained in the game.

Brockport bounced back from its Week 1 loss and salvaged a 14-0 win against Framingham State. The Golden Eagles (1-1) came up empty twice in the red zone in the first half, but Raylens Boutin put the button on the game with two interception returns for a touchdown to give his team all the offense it would need. Freddy June got the start at quarterback and was 8-for-17 passing with an interception. Jason Hellwig, who threw four interceptions in Week 1, took a handful of snaps off the bench, but was 0-for-2 with an interception himself. June led all rushers with 112 yards on 18 carries.

In its final season in the Midwest Conference, St. Norbert gave the league its first win over a WIAC opponent since 1935, as the Green Knights defeated UW-Eau Claire 27-21. Kevin Pedersen broke up a pass in the end zone on the final play of the game to preserve the victory after the Blugolds had reached the 7-yard line.

Eau Claire had marched to the St. Norbert 27 early in the fourth quarter before Joe Peterson corralled his third interception of the game, hauling Josiah Johnson's pass in at the goal line for a touchback. St. Norbert then needed five plays to score, with McClanahan finding a seam to find Samuel Staehling, who streaked to the end zone for a 38-yard touchdown. The point-after try failed, giving the Green Knights a 27-14 lead with 10:31 to go. The Blugolds made it a one-score game a couple of possessions later, needing nine plays to go 64 yards to score on Conrad Bolz's 13-yard touchdown run with 4:40 to go. Staehling finished with five catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Photo gallery

Baldwin Wallace defensive lineman Sekou Imani scored just 47 seconds into the game on a strip-sack which he returned 11 yards for a touchdown, and the Yellow Jackets scored two more defensive touchdowns and went on to defeat Otterbein 45-28 in the teams' Ohio Athletic Conference opener. Jack Bauer had a 60-yard interception return for a touchdown and Dominick Bowman added an 81-yard pick-six with 4:31 left in the third quarter. Jon Murray ran for 118 yards on 14 carries for Baldwin Wallace (2-0, 1-0 OAC).

Tre Frederick ran for 198 yards and one touchdown, a 33-yard game-winner with 1:14 left in the game as Randolph-Macon scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to win at Averett, 30-27. Frederick has 4,316 career rushing yards, setting the school and Old Dominion Athletic Conference record..

Shenandoah (1-0) opened up a 21-0 lead by halftime but needed two scores in the final two minutes of the game as NCWC (1-1) stormed back in it with 13 points in the third quarter and six points in the fourth. Tyler Williams had two interceptions on the afternoon, as Shenandoah picked off North Carolina Wesleyan five times.

Gustavus Adolphus ripped off five consecutive touchdown drives over the second and third quarter to pull away to a win at UW-Stout, 41-31. Stout, which rallied to defeat Gustavus in 2018, scored single touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter to make it a 10-point game. Josh Kirk caught eight passes for 114 yards for the Gusties (2-0), while Michael Veldman was 18-for-28 passing for 249 yards.

Carleton improved to 2-0 for the first time since 2013, as the Knights overcame three turnovers to win at Lawrence, 20-10. Carleton limited Lawrence to just 75 yards on the ground and racked up five sacks in the win. Beau Nelson completed 29 of 47 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Springfield rushed for 420 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown with 22 seconds remaining as it prevailed over Kean, 21-14. Ryan Deguire had 100 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, while Chad Shade, the quarterback in the option offense for the Pride (1-1), ran for 97 yards and another score. Kean fell to 0-2. Aurora scored the first 21 points of the game and improved to 2-0, defeating Elmhurst 48-21. Gavin Zimbelman completed 30 of 46 passes for 336 yards and seven touchdowns in the win, as the Spartans held the ball for 42:02.
