QB Matt Blanchard, Jr., UW-Whitewater
Blanchard completed 24 of 30 passes for 337 yards with three
touchdowns and no interceptions en route to a 49-17 win at
UW-Platteville. Blanchard scored the team's first points on a
7-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
OL Conor Oenning, Jeremy Shaub, Nick Capristo, Kyle
Antos, Will Thrun, North Central (Ill.)
The Cardinals' line dominated the line of scrimmage for a fourth
straight week as North Central outrushed Carthage, 272 to minus-36,
in a 43-8 victory. The Cardinals kept the Red Men's potent offense
off the field by dominating time of possession,
36:58-23:02.
RB Alex Hendrickson, Jr., Brockport
State
Hendrickson rushed for 310 yards on 43
carries and scored twice in Brockport State's loss to Morrisville,
including 241 yards in the first half alone.
RB Josh Kleinfelter, Sr.,
Lycoming
Kleinfelter surpassed 200 all-purpose yards for the third
consecutive game, posting a season-high 216 yards on 29 carries in
a 31-24 win over Wilkes. He scored twice and broke five runs of 10
or more yards, including a season-long of 54 on his first run of
the second half and ran for 11 of Lycoming’s 24 first
downs.
WR Ellis Krout, Sr., Wesley
Krout broke Larry Beavers' and Marcus
Clarke's career touchdown record with an eight reception, 143-yard
and three touchdown performance as Wesley defeated Huntingdon
61-28.
WR Damian Davis, Jr., Mary
Hardin-Baylor
Damian set career highs with five catches for 143 yards and two
scores. He set a school record with a 91-yard TD reception from
LiDarral Bailey. Davis' receiving yardage total was the highest by
a UMHB receiver since P.J. Williams caught 160 yards of passes in
Stagg Bowl XXXII.
TE Chris Hunt, Sr., Trinity
(Conn.)
Hunt scored on a 20-yard touchdown pass at the 11:15 mark of the
fourth quarter as part of a five-catch, 90-yard day.
Defense
DE Garrett Wooters, Sr., Delaware
Valley
Wooters made all of his tackles behind the line of scrimmage,
including 2.5 of Delaware Valley's six sacks in a 38-6 win against
Lebanon Valley. The Aggies held the Flying Dutchmen to just 140
yards of total offense.
DT Casey Flynn, Jr., Lake
Forest
Flynn recorded his first career interception on a tipped ball to
spoil a third quarter red-zone opportunity and intercepted his
second pass on the next possession. He finished with three tackles,
including a tackle for loss.
DT Dan Terhune, Jr.,
Wooster
Terhune was part of three of Wooster's four sacks, registering two
half sacks and one solo, during a 38-28 win at Denison. He was also
credited with two quarterback hurries. Terhune already has seven
sacks on the season, one shy of the team record by an interior
lineman. He finished with six tackles, three solo.
DE Chas Lemon, So., St.
Scholastica
Lemon had a tackle for a loss and a pass break-up, but also made
an athletic interception where he tipped the ball up to himself and
returned it a program-record 55 yards, which set up a score in a
win against Crown.
LB Jordan Langs, Jr., Wheaton
(Ill.)
Wheaton forced five turnovers in Saturday's win against No. 22
Illinois Wesleyan and three were recorded by Langs, who had
two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Langs’ second
interception came with 2:35 left in the game at the Illinois
Wesleyan 39-yard line, ending the Titans' chances for a rally. Both
of his solo tackles were tackles for loss.
LB Ben Robinson, Jr., Trinity
(Texas)
Robinson led the Tigers with 12 overall tackles (nine solo) and
three tackles for loss, handing Birmingham-Southern its first loss
of the season. Seven of his 12 stops came in the fourth
quarter.
LB Josh Rogers, Fr.,
Shenandoah
Rogers had seven tackles, five solo and two and a
half for loss in the Hornets' loss to Christopher Newport.
CB Mike Langhurst, Sr.,
Aurora
Langhurst had three interceptions and seven tackles in Aurora's
23-7 win over Lakeland. He helped the Spartan defense limit
Lakeland to 250 yards (3.2 per play) and force seven
turnovers.
S Josh McLeod, Jr., North Central
(Ill.)
McLeod came up big on a busy day against pass-heavy Carthage,
knocking away five passes and collecting his third interception of
the season as North Central held the Red Men 70 yards below their
per-game passing average.
S Chad Samuelson, Jr., UW-Eau
Claire
With the game tied at 13 all and UW-Stevens Point lining up to
kick a 27-yard field goal with less than 10 seconds to play,
Samuelson was able to block the kick. He also finished with six
tackles on the day (five solos, one assist) as the Blugolds beat
the Pointers 20-13 in overtime.
CB Christian Willman, So.,
Hamline
Willman intercepted Macalester at the Hamline 20-yard line and
returned it for a touchdown at 13:41 in the second quarter. The TD
put the Pipers up 14-0 in a game they went on to win 49-30. For
Willman, it was his second 80-plus yard pick-six in as many weeks,
as he had an 84-yard interception return for a TD against Carleton
the week prior.
Special teams
K Garrett Biel, So., Trinity
(Texas)
Biel hit a career-long 49-yard field goal late in the first
quarter to put the Tigers ahead 3-0, then went on to hit all five
PATs in the game. The 49-yard kick is the third-longest in Trinity
(Texas) history.
P Brian Betley, Sr.,
Gettysburg
Betley averaged 43.8 yards per attempt in Gettysburg's 49-39 loss
to Ursinus. He allowed only one of his six punts to be returned,
which was fumbled and recovered by Gettysburg at the Ursinus 1,
leading to a touchdown. Two of Betley's kicks landed inside the 20,
and he had a long punt of 54 yards.
ST Desmond Baker, Sr.,
McMurry
Baker blocked two kicks, an extra point and a field goal that led
to a 53-yard return for a touchdown by D.J. Baiza. Baker also had
three tackles and two pass breakups on defense.
RET Girard Ogletree-Crawford, So.,
Wooster
Ogletree-Crawford set the tone for
Wooster's 38-28 win at Denison, returning the opening kickoff for a
92-yard touchdown. He also set up the Fighting Scots' second
touchdown, blocking a punt late in the second quarter.
