Games of Sept. 17-18, 2010

Offense
QB Jake Mullin, McMurry
Mullin broke his own school records for completions and passing yards with 39 and 498 respectively against No. 5 Mary-Hardin Baylor. He threw five TD passes and one interception. His interception came after attempting 118 consecutive passes without an interception to begin the 2010 season.

OL Mike Durrell, Andrew McCann, Dan Weamer, Mike Secord, Michael Gendron, Maine Maritime
The Mariners' line blocked for 560 yards of rushing on 62 carries, an average of 9.0 yards per carry, in a 42-0 win against Mass-Dartmouth.

RB Justin Autera, So., Cortland State
Autera averaged 7.4 yards per carry, rushing 134 yards on 18 carries, and scored three times in a 35-7 win vs. Buffalo State. He scored on a 12-yard run in the first quarter, a 5-yard run in the second quarter and a 20-yard run in the third quarter. He also returned five punts for 59 yards.

RB Sam Fioroni, So., Denison
Fioroni rushed for a career-high 200 yards off 22 carries in Denison’s 31-24 overtime win against Hiram. He scored on a 1-yard run to open the second half and finished off the game with a 13-yard touchdown run on the second play of overtime to seal the victory. Fioroni was a part of four plays that went for over 26 yards in Saturday’s win. He had a long rush of 32 yards and also had runs of 27 and 26 yards in the first half.

WR Josh McKee, Jr., Wittenberg
McKee caught nine passes for a school- and conference-record 318 yards and five touchdowns as the Tigers defeated Washington U. 37-7.

WR Fritz Waldvogel, Jr., St. Thomas
Waldvogel caught TD passes of 48, 42 and 22 yards in the game’s first 24 minutes to help turn a tight game at St. Olaf into a 49-14 Tommie victory. That helped offset the absence of All-America running back Ben Wartman, who sat out with soreness. Playing just three quarters, Waldvogel had a career-high 239 reception yards on 12 catches and went over 4,000 career all-purpose yards (4,110) in 26 career games.

TE Matt Brophy, So., Gettysburg
Brophy caught seven passes for 147 yards in Gettysburg's 29-21 loss to Johns Hopkins. Brophy, who had never caught a pass entering the game, gave the Bullets a first down with all seven of his receptions.

Defense
DE Connor Tompkins, Jr., Cortland State
Tompkins had five tackles, four solo, including three and a half for loss and a sack as the Red Dragons held Buffalo State to 15 yards of rushing in a 35-7 win. He also forced and recovered a fumble.

DT Chris Swinarski, Sr., Wilkes
Swinarski recorded 14 tackles, eight solo, including two and a half tackles for loss in a loss to Springfield.

DE Matt Lunder, Sr., UW-Stevens Point
Lunder had six tackles in a 29-10 win against Division II Missouri Science & Technology. He was in the Miners’ backfield all day and recorded two sacks for losses of 13 yards, along with six quarterback hits. With Lunder anchoring a stout Pointer defense, the Miners were able to rush for only 22 yards on 26 attempts.

LB Devin Worthington, Fr., Hobart
Worthington recorded 10 tackles, eight solo, as Hobart defeated Carnegie Mellon 35-21. He accounted for four of the Statesmen's 10 tackles for a loss, including three of the team's eight sacks. After giving up a touchdown on the game's initial drive, Worthington and the rest of the Hobart defense forced the Tartans to punt on eight consecutive possessions.

LB Steve Hoverson, Jr., FDU-Florham
Hoverson recorded 17 tackles, eight of them solo, in a win against The College of New Jersey. He had two tackles for loss and broke up a pass.

LB Matt Green, Jr., Rose-Hulman
Matt hauled in two interceptions and recovered a fumble in Rose-Hulman's end zone to prevent a possible score to help lead the Fightin' Engineers past Kalamazoo 41-17. The first Kalamazoo drive ended with a fumble at the 1-yard line that ended in the back of the end zone, with Green wrestling the fumble out of the pile. His two interceptions helped lead to another Rose-Hulman touchdown and thwart another potential Kalamazoo score.

LB Willy Baregi, Jr., St. Thomas
Baregi had a sack, three tackles for loss and a forced fumble and was in on 10 tackles to help the No. 4-ranked Tommies post a 49-14 win at St. Olaf.

CB Chris Kolb, Sr., McDaniel
Kolb had a huge day in the secondary, thwarting Catholic drives in a 24-14 win. He made a career-high three interceptions for the first three-pick day for a Green Terror player since 1996. Kolb added three pass breakups and three tackles, including knocking down the final pass of the game to keep the Cardinals out of the end zone.

S Jimmy Terrell, Jr., McMurry
Recorded seven tackles, three and a half tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and a sack against No.5 UMHB, helping the McMurry defense hold the Crusaders to their lowest offensive output since 2008.

S Aaron Selking, Sr., Trine
Selking recorded 11 tackles, seven of them solo, and broke up a pass in Trine's 35-14 win at UW-River Falls.

CB Matt Czulewicz, So., Waynesburg
Czulewicz, a first-year starter at cornerback, led Waynesburg with five solo tackles and six total tackles in a 34-6 win at Thiel. He also intercepted a pair of Tomcat passes.

Storck kicked field goals of 28 and 34 yards and hit all four extra points in a 34-6 win against Thiel.
