The cutback runback

Of the multiple interception returns for a touchdown we received (along with other plays) for our Play of the Week this time around, we went with the one our former defensive back liked best. And that was the interception turned in by Lycoming's Ray Bierbach, one he took 84 yards to the end zone against MAC rival Widener.

We solicit video of top plays from every Division III football programs and this was our top clip.

Week 7 Play of the Week finalists

  • Defiance safety Kyle Longsdorf takes an interception from deep in the end zone 100 yards for a touchdown in an 33-0 win against Earlham. Watch
  • Ohio Northern got the ball back with less than a minute to go in the first half against unbeaten Baldwin-Wallace and didn't waste any time getting back in the end zone. Watch
  • Koby Parker lays a punishing block while quarterback Justin Feaster scrambles in Hardin-Simmons' blowout win against Sul Ross State. Watch
  • Occidental scored in many ways on special teams but a defensive two-point conversion is pretty rare. Dillon Tucker returns this one all the way. Watch
