    RIPON, Wis. - The Doehling-Heselton Trophy will reside in Ripon for at least one more year. The Red Hawks defeated Lawrence 52-0 Saturday afternoon to retain the trophy, which is awarded annually to the winner of this rivalry game, for the 19th consecutive season. Ripon has won 21 of the last 22 meetings against the Vikings in what is the oldest college football rivalry in the state of Wisconsin, dating back to the 1893 season.

    RIPON, Wis. - In the 127-year history of the Ripon College football program, there hasn't been many single game performances better than the one Cormac Madigan had in Saturday's 49-14 win against Beloit College. The freshman quarterback rushed for 281 yards on 19 carries (14.8 ypc), which is the second-most single game rushing yards in school history, just 12 shy of the school record. He also scored six touchdowns (five in the first half), breaking Ripon's single game record, which had stood for 25 years. Madigan was part of a Red Hawks rushing attack that totaled 525 yards, which is the fifth-most single game rushing yards in program history.

    Junior Defensive Back Lane Barnes played a key role in the Ripon College football team's 28-3 victory against Knox College on Saturday. Monday, Barnes was rewarded for his effort as he was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week. He has been a cornerstone of a Red Hawk defense that has not allowed a touchdown in their last two games.

    RIPON, Wis. - For the second consecutive week, Ripon's defense did not yield a touchdown, defeating Knox College 28-3 Saturday afternoon for their second win in a row. The Red Hawks intercepted three passes, while breaking up eight passes, recording 11 tackles for a loss, sacking the quarterback three times, and limiting the Prairie Fire to just 49 rushing yards.

    RIPON, Wis. - In the 95-year history of the Midwest Conference, there has now never been a Head Football Coach with more victories than Ripon College's Ron Ernst. Coach Ernst broke the MWC record for career coaching victories with the 160th win of his 25-year career with Saturday's 27-7 win against Lake Forest College. That marks three consecutive victories to end Ripon's season, matching their longest winning streak of the season.
