November 2, 2024 Lynskey breaks NESCAC record for rushing yards in one game in Bates football's 35-24 loss to Bowdoin Sophomore running back Ryan Lynskey broke the NESCAC record for rushing yards in one game, but the Bates football team could never wrestle the lead away from Bowdoin in a 35-24 loss Saturday night at Garcelon Field.
October 26, 2024 Bates football makes more history, defeats Middlebury 21-20 in a Garcelon Field thriller Senior captain Colton Bosselait threw three touchdown passes -- two to junior Sergio Beltran -- and the Bates football team knocked off Middlebury 21-20 Saturday afternoon in NESCAC action, the first win for the Bobcats over the Panthers since 1988. It's the second win over the top team in the NESCAC standings this year for Bates, coming just under a month after the Bobcats handed Wesleyan their only loss of the season to date.

October 5, 2024 Bates football loses 28-26 heartbreaker to Colby The Bates football team took the lead in the second half only to see the host Colby College Mules score twice in the fourth quarter to defeat the Bobcats 28-26 Saturday night in NESCAC action. The Mules (1-3 NESCAC) were able to stop a late Bates (1-3 NESCAC) two-point conversion attempt that likely would have forced overtime.
September 28, 2024 Bates football breaks through, defeats previously unbeaten Wesleyan 24-13 The Bates football team executed in all three phases of the game on Saturday, defeating previously unbeaten Wesleyan on the road by a score of 24-13, making some history in the process. The Bobcats (1-2 NESCAC) beat the Cardinals (2-1 NESCAC) for the first time since 2005, and for the first time in Middletown, Conn. since 1981.
