November 27, 2021Naperville, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse football team fell, 34-20, at North Central College (Ill.) Saturday afternoon in the second round of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships. The Eagles finish 9-3 on the season, recording their most wins since going 9-2 in 2006. The Cardinals, the 2019 national champion, advances to the quarterfinals Saturday, December 4. North Central (Ill.) improved to 11-0 on the season with the win. -

November 27, 2021CORTLAND, N.Y. - Senior Dylan Burnett rushed for 155 yards and a 42-yard touchdown, the defense forced three turnovers and the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) football team defeated SUNY Cortland 21-14 in an NCAA Playoffs Second Round game. With the victory, the No. 18 Engineers improve to 11-1 and tie the school record for wins in a season. They advance to the quarterfinals next Saturday at No. 1 North Central. -

Cortland is ranked 13th nationally by D3football.com and 12th by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), while the Engineers are ranked 18th by D3football.com and 20th by the AFCA. The winner advances to the national quarterfinals next Saturday against either Wisconsin-La Crosse or 2019 national champion North Central at a site to be determined.
