Here's what happened elsewhere in Week 4 in Division III, outside of the Top 25. Get all the latest from our Scoreboard.

The talker of the day would have to be the Whittier-Puget Sound game, which Whittier won in the sixth overtime, 42-39. The Poets won despite completing just 11 of 40 passes and having six balls intercepted. The teams combined for just 19 points in the six overtimes. A 26-yard field goal by Eric Cejudo finally finished the game off.

Louisiana College survived a back-and-forth battle with Mississippi College. Full story. Hampden-Sydney scored on a 1-yard touchdown run by Evan King with 1:12 left as the Tigers rallied from nine points down to defeat Salisbury 32-28 and improve to 4-0 on the season heading into Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.

UW-Stevens Point donned the pink and downed Abion 59-14 in the first known pink game by any NCAA football team, as Pointer players wore white jerseys with pink numbers in a game dedicated to cancer awareness. Players' jerseys were auctioned off after the game, as well as other prizes.

Former UW-La Crosse player and Green Bay Packer Bill Schroeder and former Pointer and Pittsburgh Steeler Clint Kriewaldt were in attendance, signing autographs for fans during the game and all in all $20,400 was raised for cancer.

St. John Fisher improved to 4-0 with a 34-14 win at Hobart. Josh Kleinfelter rushed for 193 yards for Lycoming while the Warriors held Ithaca to minus-14 on the ground, setting up a last-minute field goal by T.J. Chiaronlonza in Lycoming's 26-24 win.  The Bombers were ranked in the Top 15 of the coaches poll but unranked by D3football.com. Ursinus improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2006, beating Susquehanna 24-7.  FDU-Florham improved to 3-0 for the first time since 1994 with a 28-14 victory over Newport News.  Husson rallied from a 19-0 deficit to take a 21-19 lead but SUNY-Maritime improved to 4-0, pulling away for a 47-21 win. Utica moved to 4-0 with a 24-10 home win against Wilkes.

Buffalo State overcame a 23-0 halftime deficit, but Justin McLendon ripped off a late 85-yard kick return to reclaim the lead for Kean, and the Cougars held on for a 33-29 victory.  St. Vincent beat a PAC opponent for the first time in its revival of football, defeating Thiel 17-3. Oberlin rolled up 622 yards of total offense in cruising to an easy 47-21 win at Hiram.

The NESCAC kicked off its season with a slew of lopsided results.  Only the Middlebury-Wesleyan tilt had a single digit margin of victory with the Panthers winning 24-21. Blaise Ancona made three field goals and running back Chris Coney eclipsed the 3,000 yard career rushing mark to lead Union to a 16-14 victory over Rochester in Liberty League action. Ancona made a 41-yard field goal with 3:51 remaining for the eventual game winner. Photo gallery.
