The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 23rd season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by schools.

Offense

QB Tyler Jarnagin, Sr., Benedictine

Jarnagin set a school and conference record with the highest single game total offense in the nation this year in a single game. He broke the school's single game record for passing by throwing for 508 yards and he ran for 132 on 12 carries to accumulate 640 yards of total offense in a 51-49 win against Wisconsin Lutheran. He threw five touchdowns on 33 completions to seven receivers. Eighteen completions were for first downs with eight of longer than 20 yards.

OL Jacob Berault, Nathan Mars, Matthew Goldade, Randy Ruple, Gavin Smith, Merchant Marine

The Merchant Marine offensive line paved the way for the Mariners to amass 561 yards of total offense in their 49-14 road win over archrival Coast Guard in the annual Secretaries' Cup game. USMMA compiled 435 rushing yards and 126 in the air, as the line helped the Mariners score touchdowns on their first four possessions of the game.

RB Silas Washington, Sr., Puget Sound

Washington broke the 15-year Puget Sound record for rushing yards in a game as he ran for 318 yards on 30 carries in a 62-34 win against Willamette. He ran for six touchdowns.

RB Paul Garrett, Jr., Greenville

In the de facto UMAC championship game Garrett had 259 yards of total offense (227 rushing) and four TDs, three on the ground. It was his 10th straight game rushing for more than 100 yards helping Greenville secure their first-ever NCAA playoff berth. Garrett averaged 9.9 yards per carry.

WR Trey Madsen, Jr., Aurora

Madsen caught an Aurora single game record 19 passes for 164 and scored three touchdowns in the Spartans' 39-28 victory at Concordia (Wis.). The win clinched the outright NACC title.

WR Zuri Edmondson, Jr., Muskingum

Edmondson set the school record for receiving yards in a game (266) and receptions (17). He also tied the school record with three touchdown receptions in a 46-27 win against Capital. His historic efforts helped lead Muskingum to its first five-win season since 2003.

TE Alex Larson, Jr., St. John's

Alex Larson caught a 3-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-1 with one second remaining in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 28, setting up the game-winning extra point to give St. John's a one-point victory, MIAC championship, and NCAA playoff berth against Bethel on Saturday. Larson finished the game with a team-high six catches for 58 yards and the touchdown.

Defense

DE Hunter Maddy, Sr., Central

Maddy had a trio of sacks in a 65-6 win over Buena Vista. His strip sack of the Beaver quarterback in the second quarter led to another Dutch TD and a 35-0 lead. He also added a pass breakup and seven total solo stops.

DT Tandrell Foster, Sr., St. Scholastica

Foster registered seven tackles, five tackles for loss, and two sacks in a 21-20 loss to Hamline on Saturday. All three figures represent season-highs for the senior defensive tackle.

DT Dallas McRae, Sr., Wheaton

Of his five total tackles on Saturday, three of McRae's stops ended in the Big Blue backfield. he recorded two sacks for minus-17 yards. and also had a QB hurry in a 49-7 win.

DE Ryan Bodolus, So., Ursinus

Bodolus set a program single-game record with six sacks among his nine tackles in a 27-20 loss to Dickinson. He also broke up a pass and forced a fumble.

LB Steven Silvia, Jr., Bridgewater State

Silvia recorded six tackles, including a strip sack, intercepted a pass and returned a fumble for a touchdown in the Bears' 35-7 victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy in the 42nd Annual Cranberry Bowl. His strip sack and interception both set up BSU touchdowns. With the Bears trailing 7-0 midway through the second quarter, Silvia recovered a fumble and rumbled 44 yards for a touchdown to get the Bears on the board. His strip sack on the ensuing drive thwarted a Maritime scoring threat and set up a BSU touchdown. With the Bears leading 21-7 late in the third quarter, Silvia intercepted a pass and returned the ball 12 yards to the MMA 26 to set up another score.

LB Ryan Daines, So., UW-La Crosse

Daines had a team-leading nine tackles, including six unassisted, in UWL's 44-20 win over UW-Eau Claire. He had a team-high two and a half tackles for loss and one and a half sacks as UWL earned its first eight-win season since 2017. The Eagles won their sixth WIAC game for the first time since 2006. Daines forced a fumble on a quarterback sack in the second quarter leading to a UWL field goal and 20-14 halftime lead.

LB Kalen Davis-White, So., Pacific Lutheran

Davis-White led the Lutes with 15 tackles, five solo, including one and a half TFLs while also picking off a pass in a 20-17 loss to Pacific.

CB Scott Tinsley, Jr., Redlands

Tinsley played a pivotal role in a comeback victory for Redlands, which beat Cal Lutheran 56-28 to claim the 2021 SCIAC championship and the Smudge Pot Trophy. Trailing 14-0, Tinsley helped the Maroon and Grey get back into the game with a pair of interceptions, the first he took back 41 yards for a pick-six. He then set up the Bulldogs with their second touchdown of the day with another interception, which put UR in the red zone. On the day he also finished with eight tackles, four solo.

S Danny Baker, Sr., Lake Forest

In the de facto Midwest Conference championship game, Baker was impactful from his safety position with two tackles for loss, forcing a fumble. He also played a big role on special teams including downing a punt on the one yard line, and handling three Forester kickoffs in the second half. Baker finished with 13 tackles, eight solo, in a 28-6 win vs. Chicago.

S Joseph Carchio, Jr., King's

In a 34-7 win over Wilkes in the 25th annual Mayor's Cup game, Carchio earned King's Mayor's Cup MVP honors, leading a defense that held the high-powered Colonels offense to just seven points on a touchdown in the second quarter. He recorded nine total tackles, including five solo, with two and a half tackles for loss. Carchio added a forced fumble, a pass breakup, and an interception that he returned for 27 yards.

CB Lucas Schwin, Sr., George Fox

Schwin led all players in the game with 11 tackles and made two crucial plays in the second half. On Whitworth's second-to-last drive, Schwin jumped a route for a 31-yard interception that set up the Bruins' winning touchdown drive. On the Pirates' next possession with two seconds left and goal to go, the senior broke a would-be touchdown pass in the end zone to save a 16-10 win over Whitworth.

Special teams

K Stamati Damalos, Sr., Brevard

Damalos accounted for 16 of Brevard's 40 points in a 40-3 triumph over Averett. He drilled field goal attempts from 27, 40, 42, and a school-record 47 yards away while also going 4-for-4 on PATs.

P Logan Persson, Jr., Lake Forest

Persson averaged 40.8 yards per punt on eight punts. That included two kicks inside the 20 and a fair catch on a blustery day in Chicago.

RET K.J. Miller, Sr., Mary Hardin-Baylor

Miller returned the War Hawks' opening punt 79 yards for a score, his second punt return for a touchdown of the season. Miller averaged 35.3 yards a return on four punt returns.

ST Jake Trahan, Fr., Endicott

Trahan wreaked havoc on special teams with two tackles, a blocked punt, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery for a score on a muffed punt in the Gulls' CCC title-clinching victory over Nichols, 37-3. Trahan's scoop and score gave Endicott its first lead of the contest, 10-3, in the second quarter and the Gulls never looked back from there.
