The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is D3football.com's weekly honor roll, in its 23rd season of recognizing the top performance at each position from the previous week. Players are nominated by schools.

Offense

QB Mateo Renteria, Sr., Wooster

Renteria set single-game program records for total offense (550), passing yards (506), passing touchdowns (six), and completions (38) during the Fighting Scots' 59-41 win over Allegheny. Renteria is now second all-time in program history with 7,388 yards passing and third with 57 passing touchdowns. Renteria was 38-for-51.

OL Chris Toth, Jackson Nazos, Oscar Nava, Jalen Cole, Matt Kickel, Aurora

The Aurora offensive line paved the way for 329 yards on the ground as Aurora defeated Lakeland 38-20 to clinch at least a share of the NACC title and the conference's automatic bid. That helped running back Tyran Bailey to rush for 213 yards.

RB Luke Fugate, Sr., UW-River Falls

Fugate had a career day during a 57-35 Falcon victory at UW-Stout. He rushed for a career-high 247 yards and tallied three rushing touchdowns for the second time this season. His rushing scores were runs from 65, 43, and 74 yards out, averaging 11.8 yards per rush.

RB Justin Edwards, Fr., Claremont-Mudd-Scripps

Edwards led the Stags to a 42-34 victory over Chapman with his third 200-yard rushing performance of the season. He carried 38 times for 211 yards and scored three touchdowns. The first-year running back averaged 5.5 yards per carry and logged a long run of 39 yards en route to breaking the Stags' single-season record for rushing touchdowns (16).

WR Deandre Holliday, So., Benedictine

Holliday set a school record with 281 yards receiving in Benedictine's win over Concordia-Chicago. He reeled in a pair of touchdowns including a 73-yarder. Holliday caught 13 passes, 10 of which went for first downs and 10 of which were for longer than 10 yards.

WR Justin Thomas, Sr., Albion

Shredded a defense that was allowing 250 yards per game for 235 receiving on his own, with 14 catches for 235 yards. Hauled in three TD passes in a must-win game for Albion vs. Hope.

TE Cole Hissong, Sr., Wooster

Hissong logged eight receptions, 103 yards, and two touchdowns during Wooster's 59-41 win over Allegheny. Hissong is now the program's all-time leader in receiving touchdowns by a tight end at 15. The 100-yard game marked Hissong's fourth of the year.

Defense

DE Tristin Quick, Sr., Averett

Quick set the program's single-game record with four and a half sacks in a 31-22 win against LaGrange. He led team in tackles with seven, five solo. Quick also had a forced fumble and QB hurry.

DT Anthony Nobile, Jr., Delaware Valley

Nobile recorded a career-high three and a half sacks with six tackles and a forced fumble as the Aggies clinched their fourth consecutive MAC championship and NCAA berth. They held the Colonels to 66 yards of total offense in a 30-0 road shutout.

DE Jude Sampson, Sr., Anna Maria

Sampson led the AMCATS defense to one of their best performances of the season, holding Gallaudet to 14 points on offense. The senior recorded two sacks totaling 16 yards, to go along with three and a half tackles for loss and seven tackles total. His forced fumble on the Bison early in the fourth quarter set up an Anna Maria field goal to put them up by double-digits in an eventual 37-21 win.

LB Kaden Romero, So., Geneva

Romero had a disruptive day in helping Geneva shut out the Thiel Tomcats, 49-0. He recorded eight tackles, two TFLs, one sack, one interception and one fumble recovery.

LB Robert Coury, So., Carnegie Mellon

Coury was a huge defensive presence in a 27-11 victory over 22nd-ranked Washington & Jefferson. He helped the Tartans record a school record nine sacks as well as holding their sixth consecutive opponent to under 50 yards rushing, as W&J ran for 25 yards. Coury recorded a career-high 2.5 sacks to lead the Tartans and ended the game with 12 tackles, seven solo, and a pass breakup.

LB Ryan Schwartz, Sr., Wheaton

Schwartz was the leading tackler with 10 total tackles (eight solo) for a Wheaton defense that held Illinois Wesleyan to minus-34 rushing yards in a 72-7 win. He snagged two second-quarter interceptions, including one return for 21 yards and another returned for 14 yards.

LB Caleb Harmel, Jr., Trinity (Texas)

Harmel led the Tigers to a 28-27 win over Birmingham-Southern last weekend, clinching the SAA Championship and securing a spot in the NCAA playoffs. He finished with a game-leading 11 tackles that included a sack and two and a half tackles for loss. Harmel leads Trinity with 50 tackles this season, as well as forcing two fumbles and recording two interceptions.

CB Michael Lord, Jr., Monmouth

Lord had two interceptions in Saturday's win at Ripon and added a pass breakup as well. His first interception came in the second quarter and the other one came in the fourth as the Scots finished off a 31-21 win.

S Cameron Bannister, Jr., Central

Bannister picked off a pair of Dubuque passes to go along with six tackles in Central's 56-7 win over Dubuque. His first interception helped Central go up 28-0 early in the second quarter.

S Jack Yensel, Fr., Rochester

Yensel anchored a UR defense which took the ball away six total times in a 42-28 win over Hartwick College in a non-conference matchup. Hensel had two solo tackles and returned an interception 39 yards for a touchdown. The interception return TD helped UR gain a 28-21 lead in the third quarter which they wouldn't relinquish the rest of the game.

CB Jamir Prevard, Jr., Delaware Valley

Prevard had three passes defended including one that he intercepted and took 87 yards for a pick-six in Delaware Valley's 30-0 win against Wilkes.

Special teams

K Nicholas Bahamonde, Jr., Ithaca

Bahamonde posted one of his best performances of his career during Ithaca's 26-7 victory over No. 13 Union as he went 4-for-4 in field goals (33, 28, 20 and 37), made both extra points and booted three touchbacks in seven kickoffs, averaging 61.4 yards per kick.

P Alex Wing, Fr., Rochester

Wing punted seven times, averaging 42.3 yards per punt, in Rochester's 42-28 win over Hartwick on Saturday. The freshman also saw four of his kicks down the Hawks inside the 20, a career high.

RET Brandon Moody, So., Berry

Moody had two punt returns for touchdowns in the fourth quarter as Berry salted away a win against Rhodes, defeating the Lynx 45-14. He averaged 29.0 yards on three punt returns in the win.

ST Jalen Shaffer, Sr., Wheaton

Shaffer blocked two Illinois Wesleyan punts in a 72-7 Wheaton victory against the Titans, increasing his total to a school record five blocked punts this season. His first blocked punt against the Titans was at the conclusion of the first Illinois Wesleyan offensive drive of the game and allowed Wheaton to start its first offensive drive of the game at the Titans' 8-yard line. Shaffer's second punt block came early in the second quarter and allowed Wheaton to start its next offensive drive at the Titans' 25-yard line and setup a 26-yard field goal for the Thunder six plays later. He also made three tackles on kickoff returns in the first half on Saturday.
