November 16, 2024 #13 Carnegie Mellon Captures 10th PAC Title With a 37-30 Win Over Case Western Reserve in the 38th Academic Bowl The Carnegie Mellon University football team, ranked 13th nationally, headed to Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday to play Case Western Reserve University and left with a share of its 10th Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship in program history. A late surge from Case Western Reserve was held off by the Tartans with a last-minute touchdown to win 37-30 in the 38th Academic Bowl.
November 9, 2024 #16 Carnegie Melllon Has Successful Senior Day in 63-10 Win Over Allegheny The Carnegie Mellon University football team, ranked 16th nationally, hosted the Gators of Allegheny College for a President’s Athletic Conference (PAC) match-up Saturday on Richard M. Lackner Field at Gesling Stadium. The Tartans celebrated Senior Day, recognizing the team’s veterans for their accomplishments and contributions to the program. A complete team effort in the first half put the Tartans out far ahead and gave them momentum for a 63-10 victory.
November 2, 2024 #17 Carnegie Mellon Celebrates Homecoming With 45-20 Win Over Westminster The Carnegie Mellon University Tartans, ranked 17th nationally, hosted the Westminster College Titans for a homecoming President’s Athletics Tartans (PAC) heavy-weight bout Saturday, at Richard M Lackner Field, The Tartans got out front early and never looked back, winning 45-20 to stay firmly in the PAC title race.
October 23, 2024 Carnegie Mellon's Robert Coury Named William V. Campbell Finalist Selected as the best and brightest from the college gridiron, from a nationwide pool of 203 semifinalists among all NCAA divisions and the NAIA, The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced today that Carnegie Mellon's graduate student inside linebacker Robert Coury is one of 16 finalists for the 2024 William V. Campbell Trophy, presented by Fidelity Investments. The award recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership. Coury is joined by Luke Lehnen of North Central and Brayden Long of Slippery Rock as the only non-Division I honorees.
October 5, 2024 Ben Mills Becomes Carnegie Mellon’s All-Time Passing Touchdown Leader as #15 Tartans Defeat Waynesburg 42-0 The Carnegie Mellon University football team, ranked 15th nationally, hosted the Waynesburg University Yellowjackets for the 12th Annual Cindy Lackner Memorial Game on Saturday under the lights at Gesling Stadium. The Tartans’ stout defense paired with a host of offensive weapons to shut out Waynesburg 42-0 in the Presidents’ Athletics Conference (PAC) contest.
September 28, 2024 Strong Second Half and Special Teams Play Lifts #15 Carnegie Mellon to a 30-27 OT Win at Washington & Jefferson The Carnegie Mellon University football team, ranked 15th nationally, traveled to Washington, Pennsylvania, to play the Presidents of Washington & Jefferson College Saturday afternoon. The Tartans erased a 19-point halftime deficit to leave Cameron Stadium with a 30-27 overtime victory.
