MARIETTA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University football finished its two-game road trip as it was defeated by Marietta College in an Ohio Athletic Conference game by a final score of 47-7 inside Don Drumm Stadium.
BW (4-3, 3-3 OAC) fell to 38-9 in the all-time series with Marietta (7-0, 6-0 OAC).
Offensively for the Yellow Jackets, sophomore quarterback Charlie Bubonics (Solon) completed 15-of-23 passes for 93 yards. Senior running back Khalize Beamon (Rochester, N.Y./Spencerport) rushed for a career-high 152 yards, including a career-best 90-yard rush, on nine carries. Junior wide receiver Tim Conwell (Avon) caught five passes for 67 yards. Defensively, junior linebacker Dom Tromba (Painesville/Riverside) recorded a game-high tying eight tackles.
Offensively for the Pioneers, senior All-OAC quarterback Connor Vierstra completed 24-of-36 passes for 363 yards with four touchdowns. Junior running back Taz Morris rushed for 54 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown. Senior All-OAC wide receiver Dawson Snyder caught 10 passes for 181 yards with one touchdown. Defensively, junior All-OAC linebacker Harley Hopkins tallied a game-high tying eight tackles.
