HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers received the ball to start the game. After a three-and-out, Josh Szymchak punted the ball away. However, when Rhodes' Taylor Smith tried to catch the ball at the Lynx 31-yard-line, he immediately fumbled it away and Jack Lambert picked it up to restart Sewanee's drive.

-After Sewanee reclaimed possession, they could not gain any positive yardage, but Brody Palmer converted a 51-yard field goal to give the Tigers the early lead, 3-0, with 12:52 left in the opening period.

-On Rhodes' first drive of the game, the home team stormed down the field on 10 plays and 75 yards to take its first lead of the game with a one-yard touchdown.

-After a Sewanee punt, Rhodes used a strong drive to get down to the Sewanee 5-yard-line. On a fourth down, Rhodes' Franklin Garner had a 22-yard field goal attempt blocked by Wesley Porter. Walker Weatherly picked up the football and ran it back to the house for a touchdown. However, the score was called back due to a Sewanee penalty at midfield.

-The momentum fizzled out for the Sewanee offense, as they stalled on a fourth down and one.

-In Rhodes' first possession of the second quarter, the Lynx padded their lead with a three-yard touchdown run to make it 14-3.

-Sewanee had a key opportunity to make it a one-score game in the third quarter. On a fourth down at the Rhodes 8-yard line, Szymchak had a 25-yard field goal attempt blocked and recovered by the Lynx out of bounds.

-A defensive game the second half, that third quarter drive was the closest Sewanee came to scoring in the half.

-For the third time in four weeks, Sewanee has been held to single digits in points, and the Lynx held the Tigers to 182 yards of offense.
