All-Time Associated Press Little All-America Teams (1934-2018)

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins junior guard Joe Figueroa has been named to the Associated Press Division III Football All-America Second Team it was announced today.  Figueroa is the first Johns Hopkins player named to the AP All-America Team since Colin Egan in 2016.

Figueroa adds AP All-America distinction to an already impressive list of honors for the 2018 season. He had previously earned First Team All-Centennial Conference for the second consecutive season and was also named Second Team D3football.com All-South.

The Johns Hopkins offense, with Figueroa anchoring the line, averaged 45.8 points and 550.3 yards per game.  Both of those marks are school single-season records, while the Blue Jays' 339.4 passing yards ranked second in school history.  Johns Hopkins also set school records for rushing (48), passing (39) and overall touchdowns (91).

Figueroa is just the fifth Johns Hopkins player to earn All-America honors from the Associated Press.  He joins Jim Kelly (1960 – 3rd Team), Matt Campbell (2003 – 2nd Team), Armand Jenifer (2013 – 1st Team) and Egan (2016 – 1st Team).  Kelly, Jenifer and Egan were also offensive linemen, while Campbell played safety for the Blue Jays.
