Senior RB Josh Parks had 201 yards of rushing and receiving yards and two touchdowns on just 15 touches and the No. 3-ranked Tommies (5-0 overall, 3-0 MIAC) scored the game's final 52 points in Saturday's 73-14 MIAC football victory over Augsburg (2-4, 0-4) at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.

St. Thomas, which outgained Augsburg 538 to 169 in offensive yards, ran its MIAC win streak to 31 in Glenn Caruso's 150th game as a college head coach. Caruso, who coached 18 games over two seasons at Macalester, improved to 118-14 in his last 11 seasons at St. Thomas (76-9 against MIAC opponents).

The Tommies scored two return touchdowns, had no offensive turnovers, recorded seven sacks among 17 tackles for loss, and limited the Auggies to minus-21 net rushing yards on 27 attempts. They forced eight Augsburg punts and limted the vistors to 2-of-13 on third-down conversions.

Augsburg converted its lone red-zone chance of the game, just the second red-zone scoring chance allowed this season by St. Thomas in 72 opponent possessions.

In a 1:42 span late in the second quarter, sophomore Tom Loeffler had a 62-yard punt return for a touchdown and freshman backup Luke Glenna had a 73-yard interception return. Glnna added a second intercetion and had a forced fumble on special teams. Senior Mark Dowdle had 2.5 sacks to lead a balanced UST defense.

In their 5-0 start, the Tommies have nine defensive or special teams touchdowns, 19 takeaways, and 25 rushing TDs to none for opponents.

Parks ran 61 yards for a score on the game's second play. Senior QB Jacques Perra completed 12-of-14 passes for 151 yards and two TDs with no interceptions. Perra has completed 74 percent of his passes this season (59-of-80) for 736 yards in just 11 quarters of play.

Augsburg's Nick Heenie caught nine passes for 148 yards, and scored touchdowns of 65 and 15 yards.
