ANNVILLE, Pa. – Senior linebacker Ashton Leschke of the Stevenson University football team was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Week on Sunday after his efforts in a 38-17 win over King's (Pa.).

Leschke totaled 10 tackles (five solo), three pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the victory.  His strip for the forced fumble and fumble recovery came with just under six minutes remaining at midfield with Stevenson holding a 35-17 lead. One of his tackles was for a loss.

On the season, Leschke leads the Mustangs with 33 tackles, with 15 of those solo stops.

Stevenson, 3-1 and 2-0 in the MAC, entertain No. 21 Delaware Valley Saturday at 1 pm at Mustang Stadium.  Tickets are available online.
