Stevenson Lands Three on MAC All-Academic Team

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Seniors Preston Addo and Cory Pietrzyk and junior Ashton Leschke of the Stevenson University football team were each named to the 2017 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) All-Academic Team on Wednesday.  For Leschke, it marks his second straight selection.

Addo, a Criminal Justice major, earned D3football.com Honorable Mention All-America as a return specialist while being named D3football.com All-Region both as a returner and wide receiver.  A MAC First Team All-Conference performer, Addo caught 67 balls for 1,234 yards and 11 touchdowns, while also averaging nearly 21 yards per kick return and 10.6 yards per punt return.  He finished the season with 1,878 all-purpose yards.

Leschke, a Biology major, is also a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection.  He was named MAC Second Team All-Conference after finishing second on the Mustangs with 79 total tackles and recording eight tackles for a loss.  Leschke also registered a sack and a pair of pass breakups.

Pietrzyk, a Business Administration major, was a MAC First Team selection as he led Stevenson with 92 tackles, including 15.5 tackles for a loss.  Also an ECAC All-Star, Pietrzyk posted four sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, an interception and three pass breakups.

Stevenson made its fourth straight postseason appearance in 2017, qualifying for the ECAC James Lynah Bowl played at the University of Delaware on November 19.
