Cobbers Blank Pipers

More news about: Hamline

An aggressive Concordia defense was too much for a banged up Hamline offense Saturday at Klas Field. The Pipers fell, 45-0, to a Cobber team trying hard to hang on in the MIAC race. Piper QB Justice Spriggs completed 21 of 34 passes for 165 yards. Josh Harris and Brenden  Nachtrieb each caught five balls to lead the receiving crew. Nick  Barber snagged four for a team high 50 yards.

Defensively, Dalton Pakkala recorded 10 tackles, eight of which were solo stops. Mitchell Maday was a presence in the Cobber backfield, with 2.5 sacks.

CC struck early, leading 14-0 after a quarter. Hamline held the Cobbers to a field goal in the second quarter but gave up 21 points in the third quarter.

HU is 2-4 overall, 1-3 in the MIAC. They host league leader St. Thomas next Saturday, October 21 at Klas. Game time is 1:00 p.m. Concordia is 5-1 overall, 3-1 in the MIAC.
