Football Overmatched at Saint John’s in Season Opener

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica football team suffered a 98-0 defeat to No. 10-ranked Saint John's University on Saturday at Clemons Stadium to open the 2017 season.

The Action
The Johnnies scored touchdowns on 12 of their 15 offensive possessions, including scoring the first five times they touched the ball. Saint John's also had an interception return for a score and fumble return for a touchdown.

The Johnnies only had five scoring drives longer than 50 yards and scored within three plays on six possessions. The longest scoring drive was 4:15. Meanwhile, CSS had 13 three-and-out possessions.
