The Bucs return to Strong Stadium looking to get back in the win column as they host MWC North-leading St. Norbert College.  Beloit is coming off a 28-14 loss at Macalester College last Saturday while SNC defeated rival Ripon College 48-14 on the road…

The Series: The Buccaneers and Green Knights are meeting for the 32nd time in a series SNC leads 21-10.  SNC has won four straight in the series and 17 of the last 19, dating back to the 1996 season.  The Bucs' most recent victory in the series came on September 11, 2010, at Strong Stadium, a last-second 34-31 win.  The series began in 1984 with a 15-13 Buccaneer win in De Pere.  St. Norbert won four of the first six meetings before Beloit had a stretch of five wins in six seasons from 1990-1995…

The Bucs Most Recent Game:  Beloit fell behind early last Saturday and couldn't make up the deficit in a 28-14 Midwest Conference North Division loss at Macalester College.  Half of the Bucs' first half drives ended with a turnover, three with a punt, and the last as the half ended.  The Macs got on the board twice in the opening quarter, on a 28-yard run at the 11:57 mark and a one-yard run at 7:18.  They added a three-yard run midway through the second quarter to lead 21-0 at the break.  The Buccaneers got on the board with 22 seconds left in the third quarter when Mason Dixon scored on a 25-yard run.  Macalester answered that score at 10:08 of the fourth quarter with a five-yard run.  Beloit closed the scoring with 2:48 remaining when Kam Sallee caught a seven-yard TD pass from Danny May.  The Bucs were held under 396 yards in total offense for the first time this season, getting 272, while the Macs had 438, 330 on the ground.  Dixon finished with 122 yards rushing on 20 carries.  May passed for 121 yards but was intercepted four times.  Sallee's four catches led the receivers while Nate Brault had a team-best 33 yards receiving.  Defensively Dewight Walker and Brenden Endrina both finished with 10 tackles while Juan Guerrero and Riley Pearson had nine apiece.  Pearson also recovered a fumble…

Bucs' Last Time vs. the Green Knights: For the second straight week the third quarter was the downfall for the Beloit College Football team in a 29-14 loss at St. Norbert College on October 25. 2014.  The Green Knights scored 13 third-quarter points to turn a 7-0 halftime advantage into a 20-0 lead.  SNC had the lone score of the opening half at the 6:35 mark of the first quarter on a two-yard run by J.T. Crosby and made it stand up for a 7-0 lead at the break.  The Green Knights then got a pair of TD runs – a James Tringali 18-yard run at 9:03 and a Zach Broberg five-yard run at 3:10 - in the third quarter and added two field goals at 12:06  (40 yards) and 7:42 (25 yards)of the fourth quarter by Randy Hill to build their advantage to 26-0.  Beloit got on the board at 6:10 of the final quarter on Mason Dixon's 57-yard scoring run.  After another St. Norbert field goal by Hill from 22 yards at the 2:03 mark Michael Nolden caught a five-yard pass from Even Phillips with 34 seconds remaining to close out the scoring.  Dixon finished with 135 yards on the ground on 20 carries while Phillips threw for 153.  Kam Sallee caught seven passes for 105 yards to lead the receiving corps.  Tringali threw for 153 yards and ran for 68 for SNC.  Broberg led in rushing with 76 while Brett Olson caught eight passes for 71 yards and Zach Reeves caught seven passes for 78 yards.  On defense Riley Pearson had 12 tackles, eight solo, while Derell Carter made 10 tackles with a half a sack.  David Lafayette and Daniel Quijas each made nine tackles, Quijas with half a sack and an interception.  Alan Ham record two sacks and Antonio Jones and interception.  Ryan Grandlic led the Green Knight defense with eight tackles while Dan Egan had seven.  Tyler Jensen and Judge Krull both had interceptions while Zach Klarkowski and Stuart Kwaterski each had a sack…

Notes & Notables:  Time of possession was an issue in the loss at Macalester.  The Macs had the ball just under two-thirds of the time - 39:45-20:15 – while amassing their 330 yards rushing…Mason Dixon's rise up the Beloit career rushing chart continued with his 122-yard effort Saturday, giving him 3,413 in his 26-game career.  He trails #2 career rusher Lee Rankinen (2003-06) by just under 350 yards…LB Danny Quijas recovered his second fumble of the season, and the fifth of his career Saturday…

Up Ahead for the Bucs:  It's back on the road for Beloit for the last time in the 2015 season as they travel to take on Ripon College on Halloween.  They head back home for the regular season finale on November 7 when they host Carroll University on Senior Day…
