More news about: UW-Stout

LA CROSSE (October 10, 2015) - UW-Stout scored touchdowns by the pass, by the run and on special teams but it wouldn't be enough as the Blue Devils lost 28-21 to UW-La Crosse at Veterans Memorial Stadium Saturday.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Eagles (2-3, 1-1 WIAC) scored twice in the second quarter, first on a Tyler Jenkins 2-yard run at 12:17 and on a 2-yard pass from John Tackett to Nolan Bargender with nine seconds left in the half as the Eagles carried a 14-0 lead into halftime.

Stout cut the lead in half when quarterback Hank Kujak capped off a 75-yard, 11-play drive with a 24 yard touchdown strike to Jordan Dabney at the 10 minute mark of the third quarter. The Eagles scored at the 3:10 mark of the third quarter when Tackett connected with John Oxton for a 21-yard scoring pass.

Stout was able to get back onto the board and made it a 21-14 game when, after stopping the Eagles and forcing a field goal attempt, Travis Shackleton blocked the kick and Enzo Rosani scooped up the ball and returned it 75 yards for the score.

The Eagles made it a two touchdown game again, this time when Tackett tossed his third touchdown pass of the day, an eight year throw to Samuel Zwieg with 4:28 left.

Stout drove 75 yards over the next two minutes and scored when Adolfo Pacheco scored from two yards out with 2:40 remaining.
