The Bears had the first possession in the overtime. Facing a fourth down and on the 14-yard line, Wash U chose to run the ball instead of a field goal. The Vikings, however, held.
On Berry's first offensive play in overtime, Jackson found Bullock over the middle and in the end zone for the score. Bullock had 8 catches for 92 yards, and two touchdowns. Jackson was 29-47 for 374 yards and had three TD passes.
A Berry College Mountain Day crowd of 4241 was treated to a late Berry comeback. Students and fans rushed the field at Barron Stadium following the win.
"You couldn't have written a better script since it's the 100th Mountain Day," said Berry Head Coach Tony Kunczewski. "It was looking bad when we trailed 23-10 and they were driving to score. But I couldn't be prouder of our guys and the way they hung in there and fought to the end."
The Vikings (1-3) play at Centre College next Saturday. Washington University dropped to 1-4.
