SLU marched 47 yards in eight plays late in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead. A 10-yard run by Lefflbine and a 12-yard pass to Gallagher set up a 22-yard run by Irby down the sideline. That gave the Saints first-and-goal at the Rochester three. UR'S Ugwu Okeke Ewo broke up two passes in the end zone for Gallagher, sandwiched around a two-yard pass to Sean Richardson that put the ball on the one. On fourth down, Lefflbine dove up the middle for the opening score.
