Ramsey Steps Away From Sideline

More news about: Oberlin

Oberlin, Ohio - The Jeff Ramsey era of leading the Oberlin College football program has come to a close.

"On behalf of the College, I would like to thank Jeff for his service to our student-athletes, community and department during his tenure as the head football coach at Oberlin," said Delta Lodge Athletics Director Natalie Winkelfoos.

Ramsey just completed his 15th season at Oberlin in which the Yeomen finished 3-7 overall and 2-7 in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC).  He has mentored 18 First-Team All-NCAC athletes, 33 second-team selections and 45 honorable-mention players.

"I have enjoyed my time here at Oberlin and would like to extend my best wishes to the entire athletics department," said Ramsey.

Jay Anderson, who has served as an assistant coach at Oberlin four out of the last five seasons (2009-11, 2013), will take over as the interim head coach while Oberlin conducts a national search for Ramsey's replacement.
