Big Blue Football Rolls at Greenville

More news about: Millikin

The Millikin football team rebounded from last weekend's heartbreaking loss to crush Greenville College 51-13 in Greenville on Sept. 10.  The win was the first for new Millikin Head Coach Patrick Etherton.

Millikin jumped out to a 23-0 lead in the second quarter and went on to win easily.

Millikin's Tyler Roush scored the game's opening touchdown from eight yards out.  An Austin Brettschneider 28 yard field goal gave Millikin a 10-0 early in the second quarter.

Millikin then scored on a 28 yard pass from Matt Holmes to Tommy Eichenauer and a 41 yard fumble recovery by linebacker Marquette Moore.

Millikin finished its first half scoring on a 51 yard pass play from Holmes to Jake Palmer to make it 30-7 at the half.

Holmes added two second half rushing touchdowns.  Freshman Justin Brooks scored his first career Big Blue touchdown in the fourth quarter from 15 yards out.

Holmes was 15-25 passing for 176 yards and two touchdowns.  He rushed for 71 yards and two scores.  Roush rushed for 104 yards.  Erik Tobey had eight catches for 56 yards and Palmer had four catches for 73 yards.
