Millikin Football Falls to Wheaton in Season Finale

The Millikin University football team dropped the final game of the 2010 regular season 46-0 to #18 Wheaton College at home on Nov. 13.

The Thunder offense proved too much for the Big Blue with the Thunder outgaining Millikin 550 to 105.  Wheaton rushed for 453 yards in the game.

Wheaton scored in every quarter and had a 17-0 lead at the half.

Joey Skogen was the Thunder's main weapon on the day with 24 carries for 173 yards and one touchdown.  Much of Skogen's yardage came out of the wildcat formation, which the Thunder used for much of the second half.

Peter Jarrett had 15 carries for 103 yards and two touchdowns.  Brady Wright had seven carries for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Wheaton's other touchdowns went to Rocky Gingg on an 18 yard pass from Garrett Meador and Teddy Watkins on a 23 yard run.

Millikin's Dion Wilson was limited to 54 yards rushing on the day.  Wilson ends the 2010 season with 1,361 yards rushing.  Wilson rushed for 2,829 yards in his career making him the fourth leading rusher in Millikin history.

Nick Knonmiller had 11 tackles for Millikin.  Josh Ingold and Chase Gruening each had nine.

Wheaton finished the season at 9-1, 6-1 and Millikin falls to 4-6, 1-6.
