Thunder Roll Against Alma
Trine improved to a 6-0, 2-0 record with a 38-0 rout of Alma Saturday in MIAA play. Even with a hobbled quarterback the tenth-ranked Thunder had little trouble staying unbeaten as it chalked up 478 yards of total offense and held the Scots (1-6, 0-3) scoreless with just 149 yards of offense.

Jonathan Ayers (Battle Creek, Mich./Lakeview)  rushed for 84 yards on five carries to lead the Thunder.  Kent Biller  (Nappanee, Ind./NorthWood) added 71 yards. The Thunder finished with 53 carries for 281 yards rushing.

Eric Watt (Kentland, Ind./South Newton), who was hobbled by a first-half injury, completed 11-of-19 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Hargraves (Taylor, Mich./Truman) connected on 5-of-9 passing for 104 yards and a touchdown. The sophomore quarterback also had 49 yards rushing including a 37-yard touchdown run.

Paul Curtis (Cassopolis, Mich./Ross Beatty) had four receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively,  Jacob Vance (Fenton, Mich./Lake Fenton) had eight tackles including one for loss. Kyle Sherwood (Hanover, Mich./Hanover Horton) recorded seven stops, including two sacks.
