Ryan O'Rourke (Avon) completed 20-of-29
passes for 223 yards and one touchdown and ran for another score as
the Baldwin-Wallace College football team remained unbeaten at 4-0
overall with a 39-9 victory today (Saturday, October 2, 2010)
against Marietta College on Tressel Field at The George Finnie
Stadium in Berea before 1,757 fans on "Think Pink"/
Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Fans and media are reminded that
this game will be televised by SportsTime Ohio tonight at 11:00
p.m. and again on Thursday, October 7 at 5:00 a.m. and 12:00
noon.
With their loss, the Pioneers fell to 1-3 overall and 0-3 in the
OAC. This also is B-W's first 4-0 start to a season
since 2004. The Yellow Jackets also remain in first place in the
OAC with a 3-0 league mark.
B-W led 7-3 after one quarter, 16-3 at halftime and 19-9 after
three stanzas.
The Yellow Jackets opened the scoring at the 9:09 mark of the first
quarter when sophomore backup quarterback Andrew Dziak
(Maple Heights/ Parma Padua Fransiscan) grabbed a loose
snap and scampered 11 yards for a touchdown to cap an 11-play and
61-yard drive in 5:51. Senior placekicker Brad Pollock
(Brecksville/ Brecksville-Broadview Heights) then kicked
the point-after-touchdown for a 7-0 lead.

B-W scored its final TD with 1:39 left in the game to make the final count 39-9 when senior RB Kyrell Crook (Columbus/ DeSales) sped six yards to paydirt to cap a six-play and 53-yard drive in 3:10. Pollock also added his seventh PAT kick of the game.
In addition to O'Rourke, B-W was led in rushing by Dziak with 76 yards in 10 attempts with the first TD of the game. Freshman WR Josiah Holt (Elyria/ Grafton MIdview) and junior tight end Aaron Hurd (Tiffin/ Columbian) led all receivers with six catches each and sophomore WR Aaron Manders (Toledo/ Cardinal Stritch) had four. The top tackler was senior All-OAC middle linebacker Ryan Kish (Amherst/ Marion Steele) with 12 tackles, including 2.5 QB sacks and 3.5 tackles for lost yardage.
Marietta 's Keller completed 13-of-21 passes for 145 yards with a TD before being forced from the game with an injury. The top runner was sophomore RB Trevor Drones with 54 yards in 18 attempts. The top receiver was junior WR Jahmaal Jones with a game-high seven grabs for 95 yards. The top Marietta tackler was sophomore LB Kadeem Corbin with a game-high-tying 12.
B-W is back in action next Saturday, October 9 when it hosts Otterbein College on Homecoming on Tressel Field in The George Finnie Stadium at 2:00 pm.
