Hiram will be making a leadership change to its football program, as announced by athletic director Scott Pohlman on Monday afternoon, Nov. 25. The administration has released Jack Mrozinski Jr. from his duties as head coach, effective immediately. Tanner Niles and Haydn Warren will serve as the interim leaders of the program until a new head coach is hired.
Although Mrozinski inherited a winless team when he was hired in December 2019, Hiram has lost 12 consecutive games, and was 4-36 in his tenure.
"We are thankful for the impact Coach Mrozinski had on our football program and the Hiram College community over the past five years," Pohlman said. "Our future decisions regarding the program will continue to reflect the Hiram athletics mission in promoting high academic achievement, pursuing athletic excellence, and enhancing a meaningful student life experience."
Hiram and its athletic department will immediately begin a nationwide search for a new head football coach.
