Thiel athletic director Amy Schafer announced the resignation Tuesday of head football coach Dan Blume.
Blume coached the Tomcats for three seasons, compiling a record of 5-25. He led Thiel to a 4-6 record during his first season as head coach in 2016.
"I would like to thank Coach Blume for leading our football program the last three years, and I wish him the very best in his future endeavors," Schafer said.
A national search for a new head football coach will begin immediately.
