CHICAGO -- Earlier today, scouts representing the National Football League's Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans, Blesto Scouting, and National Football Scouting visited the University of Chicago campus to time, measure, and interview junior wide receiver Dee Brizzolara (Aurora, Ohio/Aurora).
Brizzolara is a two-time All-North Region selection and a two-time University Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Year. He currently holds or shares 13 school records, including most career receiving yards (2,727), receiving touchdowns (33), total touchdowns (38), points (228), and all-purpose yards (4,952).
This past season, Brizzolara caught 38 passes for 743 yards (19.6 yards per catch) with 11 touchdowns. He also averaged 16.1 yards on 14 punt returns with a pair of TD runbacks.
During the past three years, Brizzolara has surpassed 100 receiving yards on 15 occasions, had at least one catch in all 29 games, and had a receiving TD and kick or punt return TD in the same game three times.
As a freshman in 2009, Brizzolara led the NCAA Division III in all-purpose yards with 220.2 per contest.
